I stood at the window, watching him. For a moment, I wished I was Zane so he could talk to me freely about anything.
From the way Rox moved, I knew he was hiding something. I needed to know what it was, because deep down I felt it had something to do with me too.
One moment everything seemed fine, and the next, he would either vanish or start acting strange.
At first, I thought it was my looks. Many of the students had said they were scared of me. That I terrified them.
"Hey brother," Lex said as he came into the room. He wandered around like he was looking for something, his hand rifling through my drawer. "What's wrong?"
I didn't answer. My eyes stayed on the window as I watched Rox leave the wing for class.
"Don't tell me it's him again, Maigster," Lex sighed, sitting on the edge of the bed. He was clearly tired of hearing about Rox, which made sense. I didn't care about anyone else in the wing or the academy, only him.
