Chapter 41 - The Blame

ROXANNA.

I sat quietly for the rest of the journey, staring out the window until the bus came to a stop in front of a huge resort surrounded by mountains. My eyes moved slowly across the place as I took everything in.

There were a few cabins scattered around, wrapped in nature. The trees were taller than the ones at the academy, and the mountains stood far behind them, looking old and powerful.

"We are here, Rox," Zane said as he tapped my arm. We had not spoken since Tristan joined us on the road. I did not want to talk about it anymore. Just thinking about him annoyed me. Why did he have to come when I had already hoped to join another group?

I stood up and stepped out of the bus with the others. The first person I saw was Trystan, leaning against his car. He wore a long white shirt and black trousers. His thick hair kept falling into his face as the wind blew, and he kept running his hand through it, trying to push it back.
