I sat alone on the bed, trying to understand what had been happening these past few days since I met the girl in the forest of Zazubat.
Everything felt different after that night, and while I was unconscious for thirty- six hours, my mind refused to rest. My dreams were strange and restless, and in every single one of them, I saw her face.
She was haunting me, not only in my thoughts but also in my sleep, and it was starting to drive me crazy. I knew that finding her would answer my questions, but I had no idea how to begin.
Part of me wondered if she was even still alive after the chase in the forest, but I quickly brushed that thought away. Of course she would be. She did not feel weak.
My stomach grumbled, sharp and demanding, reminding me of what I truly was.
My vampire side had kept me alive after the accident because my wolf side refused to heal. The smell of blood filled my senses, making my teeth grind as hunger burned through me.
