Chapter 12 - Exploring New Grounds

After trying on the outfit Victor led Klaus back outside towards the buildings.

"Let me show you around, the students are on break anyway," he chuckled, embarrassed, as if the earlier revelation didn't matter at all.

'He's pretty shit at playing it off,' Klaus didn't care at all, so he just nodded with a blank smile that screamed he just wanted to get it over with.

First, he was led through what seemed to be the training fields of the academy.

"This is where our martial artists train," Victor showcased punching bags and multiple dolls that seemed to be made out of metal..the punching bags as well.

Klaus touched it just to make sure and it felt insanely hard and cold.

'Is this metal?' His gaze turned towards Victor who just stared innocently now.

"It's made out of a special metal called Kandrelis, same with the weapons we provide for students that don't have their own…" He analyzed Klaus who just raised a brow.

"O-Of course the Kandrelis is just a low tier material compared to the Alderstein family's resources," Chuckling embarrassingly he rubbed the back of his head then grabbed a sword from a wooden weapon holster.

'What is he trying to do?' Klaus tracked all of his movements without hesitating.

"Please do try one of our weapons," He held a longsword towards Klaus, pointing the handle towards him.

"I'm not a martial—"

"I'm aware however we need more reviews of the weapons, anything helps!" He smiled wholeheartedly, his twitching brows betrayed the smile.

Klaus sighed and grabbed the handle, the blade was light and the handle was actually pretty soft.

'He won't leave me alone if I don't, will he,' He sighed inwardly and walked towards one of the so called metal punching bags.

'How do I do it,' He questioned his own knowledge as he looked down at the metal blade in his hands.

'Whatever, here goes nothing,' He took one step back with his weak foot, then steadied his stance, for some reason it felt easy and natural.

'Is it because of my family…' He shrugged and swung the blade.

It landed on the bag and in a seamless motion it seemed like it cut through it.

However…nothing happened. He didn't even scratch the thing.

"Ah damn, I guess that's it," Shrugging again he walked back to Victor with a smile, who just stood there with a shocked expression.

"L-lets get going," He said disappointment clearly evident in his tone as he took the blade back from Klaus and placed it back in the holster.

They kept going towards the buildings.

Two ginormous buildings stood in front of them.

'Not that much different from schools on earth,' Klaus analyzed the gigantic dorms, both of them were simple, they seemed to be made with some kind of white stone. Other than that they had black flat roofs and gigantic windows, nothing else at all.

Sometimes however, runes seemed to flicker on them, then they turned invisible again.

'Hm?'

"The one on the right is the female dormitory, on the left is the male one. Both should be pretty much empty now, unless there is one or two—" Before he could even finish it a girl walked out of the dormitory, standing right in front of them.

She was reading a book, her dark midnight black hair was tied up in a bun, and she was wearing a white blazer with a simple but amazing black skirt that highlighted her long legs.

"Ah! Lady Evaline!" Victor bowed in front of the little girl who clearly looked annoyed. Her ocean blue eyes however turned towards Klaus who just stood still with his messy blonde hair.

'Oh god, she clearly doesn't give a fuck,' Klaus sighed inwardly as her pink lips moved for a single second however she didn't say anything just nodded.

"Would you care join us for the tour—"

"I'm okay," She said then nodded again and started walking away, clearly unbothered by the situation and uninterested.

Victor clenched his hands like leading Klaus around was a defeat, he sighed and patted his back.

"I'll figure around from here, thanks,"

Victor looked at Klaus dumbfounded who started fast walking away without even bothering to look back at him.

'Please let me leave alone,' He smiled at the tree in front of him to seem happy, and then walked towards the male dormitory.

"I will handle the paperwork then!" Victor screamed after Klaus who didn't even bother stopping, he just turned for a second with the brightest smile ever and waved once.

'Please leave me alone…please,' He practically begged who knows what while he kept walking towards the dormitory, he didn't have anything to carry, everything he possibly needed was probably in the ring.

He heard spells echo from somewhere far away but he didn't bother with them.

'Probably just some students,' Brushing it off easily he took in the building in front of him. It was pretty simple, it seemed to be the same layout, style, and everything as the female dormitory.

'I like simple things,' He smiled and walked inside, pushing the wooden gates open for himself.

Inside what welcomed him was a reception with an old man sleeping behind the counter, behind him was a long hallway with a staircase at the end.

Klaus stopped in front of his desk and cleared his throat.

"Hello?" The man kept sleeping, hat over his head, he was lying back in his chair, clearly unbothered.

'This fucking fatty,' A vein twitched on his forehead as he cleared his throat again however still nothing.

He slammed his hand down on the table clearly startling the man in front of him.

"Just say hello damn it…" He yawned whilst taking his hat off, Klaus finally saw his features properly.

Pure white beard and white hair, he was an old man, probably in his sixties.

"Your name," His question was more of a statement than an actual question but Klaus didn't care.

"Klaus Von Alderstein," The man didn't react, just opened a book and seemed to check things.

"You don't have a room yet assigned, just take room 23, it's empty," He closed the book, put his hat on again, and fell back to sleep, all whilst Klaus just stood still in front of his desk.

'All right…thanks,' He sighed and walked down the hallway, each door was numbered, so he just kept walking until he arrived at the door.

'Now what…' He stood in front of it, clueless about how to actually use it. Since he didn't know how to actually channel his mana outside of the system's spells.
