"Alright, this will take forever," Zephyr sighed, scratching his head, then snapped his fingers, and multiple words appeared, each one flickering with different colors.
"Ember, basically just as weak as Spark. Rune, is a tiny bit better! Crest, is meh. Vortex is where you start feeling stronger. Nebula, is alright I skipped it. Dominion, just sounds cool. Same with the next ones which are called Eclipse, then Apex, and the final winner is Singularity," Zephyr finally listed all of them whilst each of the words floated above his head.
"These names are pretty shit," Klaus said, dumbfounded.
"BAHAHAA," Zephyr instantly started laughing wholeheartedly, even wiping an imaginary tear from his eyes.
"The names are bad, yeah," Even Jen agreed with his statement whilst shaking her head.
"Your fairy lady is around the Rune level, so she's pretty fucking wea—" Before Zephyr could even finish his sentence, a fireball launched at him however as soon as it got close, it dispersed by itself.
"Damn, so feisty," he chuckled whilst fixing his hair.
'He could kill us still, let's not attack…' Klaus's thought was directed towards Jen, who understood and nodded instantly.
"Now, where exactly are you headed, uh…student?" Zephyr finally asked after finding the correct words.
'Where exactly…' He forgot..
"North, to Cozdael," Jen spoke up whilst Klaus coughed awkwardly.
"Why would you head to Cozdael? Why not just go to Serivane..?" Zephyr asked whilst scratching his head.
"We were told to go there," Klaus said as Jen started nodding rapidly.
"Cozdael only has the magic academy…the whole town is basically just the academy, why go? Just filled with stupid brats," Zephyr sighed whilst badmouthing the town.
'Magic academy?' Klaus instantly started smiling.
Which was creeping Zephyr out pretty heavily.
"That academy can't even produce a Dominion level mage, it's pretty pointless—""Let's go there!" Klaus cut Zephyr, who just facepalmed in utter defeat, since Klaus clearly wasn't going to change his mind.
'Did mother..want me to enroll in the academy?' He looked at Jen, who just shrugged her shoulders, while Zephyr seemed to be mumbling about something.
'Whatever, they threw me out anyway, who gives a fuck,' He smiled and looked up at Zephyr.
"How fast can you make us travel?" His question shocked both Zephyr and Jen.
"I like your thinking, kid," He grabbed both Klaus and Jen, then they disappeared instantly from the forest.
Klaus's vision blurred, all he saw was darkness and spots that looked like stars scattered everywhere. Then his ass hit the ground, and his vision returned to normal.
"I guess pretty quick then…" He scrambled up from the ground and dusted down his big robe.
"Let's not do that again—blergh—" Jen tried to speak, but she was throwing up flames on the ground.
"We are closer now, if I teleport directly there, you all might die." Zephyr's statement made Jen stop throwing up, and Klaus straightened.
"Just us?" A visible vein throbbed on his forehead as he asked.
"Mhm, those dudes wouldn't even be able to scratch my clothes." He pointed at his white robe whilst grinning like a maniac.
'What an idiot,' Klaus facepalmed, and Jen chuckled silently.
Klaus was about to walk forward without looking at his surroundings however Zephyr suddenly grabbed him by his shoulder.
"Huh—"
They were on a hilltop, and he nearly just walked off to his death. He looked around, the sky was still dark, which meant no time had passed really, however they were no trees or anything of the surrounding sort, just a clear hilltop.
"Thanks," Zephyr nodded instantly as he heard Klaus.
"Perfect place to train you a bit," His grip tightened, and he launched Klaus across the hilltop.
'Fuck,' He was caught by an invisible barrier as he would have fallen off… it felt like his body was being held up by thousands of hands.
"WOAHH," he screamed off the top of his lungs as his body was stuck midair.
"Show me everything you've got, kid," Zephyr chuckled, and a blazing rod launched toward him from the side.
"Die," As soon as Jen said those words, the rod exploded into smithereens, and multiple ginormous waves of fire launched towards Zephyr. It was hot, like the sun itself had descended. The flower and grass burned off from the ground due to the heat, Klaus has never seen anything of the sort.
'Is this your ultimate technique!?' He asked the dumb question however Jen didn't move, she seemed exhausted.
"Not bad," with a wave of his hands, Zephyr…tamed the fire?
It was circling his body like an obedient puppy.
"I'll fight you with your specialty then," As soon as he said those words, the flames expanded, and Klaus was put down onto the ground. However, he wasn't the target of those flames.
"JEN MOVE," he shouted as loud as he could, however Jen seemed frozen in place as the fire got even bigger, it was flaring in hundreds of shades of red like an ocean of flames.
"Damn it, it's beautiful—" as soon as she said those words, she was enveloped and devoured by the flames.
"Fuck," he stepped forward however he didn't know what to do now without Jen.
'It's okay,' Klaus told himself to calm his nerves as the flames returned to circling Zephyr, Jen was eaten alive by them.
'In games familiars can be summoned again,' he hoped that it would be like that.
"Oops, I guess I went overboard," Zephyr sneered, then launched the flames towards Klaus.
'Record spell!' Soon, Klaus was also enveloped by the flames, it was like hell itself.
"Fuck, it hurts," His body was burning, it wasn't too bad, Zephyr was controlling the flames outside to minimize damage, however it still hurt him like hell.
'Please work,' he was begging whoever was listening to him.
[Flame Dominion recorded!]
[Record Spell available again in 10 minutes.]
'Flame dominion!' He yelled in his mind, and the burning sensation in his body stopped. Waving his hand, he launched back the surrounding fire completely. They danced around the two of them like it was a battle of control.
He couldn't win a battle against Zephyr. The flames slowly started losing their spark, almost like they were on their deathbeds begging for mercy.
"Fuck," he fell to the ground, his body scarred, robe burned and nearly destroyed.
"Wowzers, that's new," Zephyr chuckled as he walked forward whilst applauding Klaus's performance.
"Don't worry, your familiar isn't dea—" before he could finish his sentence, Klaus launched his final flames behind him towards Zephyr however they couldn't touch him at all, his control was far too high.
'Damn it all,' he punched the ground in anger, his knuckles burning from the pain.
"Nice try brat, nearly lost my head there," He fixed his hair to be perfect again.
