The hunting squad, led by Li Jian, arrived at the rural farming village nestled at the foot of the Shadow Mountain. The villagers, grateful for the Li Clan's presence, welcomed them with open arms and offered them food and shelter.
As the Li family members settled in, Li Jian, along with the squad leaders and elders, gathered in the village elder's hut to gather information about the demonic beasts. The village elder, a wise and aged man named Wang, sat at the center, his eyes filled with concern.
"Tell us, Elder Wang, about these demonic bears," Li Jian asked, his voice gentle and respectful. "What can you tell us about their nature, their habitats, and their appearance?"
Elder Wang nodded, his eyes scanning the room. "The demonic bears, they are unlike any ordinary bear. They are massive, with fur as black as coal and eyes that glow like embers. They have been appearing in the Blackwood Valley, a place that's not their usual habitat. We've tried to hunt them, but they are too powerful, too cunning."
Li Ming, sitting beside his father, frowned. "What's their approximate strength? How many have you seen?"
Elder Wang's face grew serious. "We've seen at least three, maybe four. They are incredibly strong, with claws that can rip a man in two. We've lost several good men to them already."
Li Xuan, the quiet one, spoke up. "Have you noticed any patterns in their behavior? Do they hunt at specific times or attack specific targets?"
Elder Wang nodded. "They seem to be attracted to the livestock, especially the sheep. They've attacked our flocks several times, and we've had to increase security around the village."
Li Jian nodded, his eyes narrowing. "I see. We'll need to be careful. Li Ming, Li Xuan, Li Yuxin, and Li Jingwen, you'll lead the squads. We'll enter the Shadow Mountain at dawn and head straight for the Blackwood Valley."
The squad leaders nodded, their faces set in determined expressions.
As the meeting broke up, Li Jian turned to Elder Li Gaozhong. "Elder, what do you think? Are we prepared for this?"
Elder Li Gaozhong nodded. "We are as prepared as we'll ever be, Li Jian. The Li Clan has trained hard, and we have a good plan. But we must be careful. Demonic beasts are not to be underestimated."
Li Jian nodded, his face set in a determined expression. "I know. We'll be careful. Li Ming, come here a moment."
Li Ming walked over, his eyes shining with excitement. "Yes, Father?"
Li Jian smiled slightly. "Remember, this is a hunt, not a battle. We need to be stealthy and take them down quickly. Don't take any unnecessary risks."
Li Ming nodded, his face set in a serious expression. "I understand, Father. I'll be careful."
As the night wore on, the Li Clan members settled in, their faces set in determined expressions. They knew that the road ahead would be treacherous, but they were ready to face it head-on.
The next morning, the Li Clan members set out, their gear and spears at the ready. They moved swiftly and silently, their eyes scanning the surroundings as they entered the Shadow Mountain.
As they walked, Li Ming turned to Li Feng, who was walking beside him. "Hey, little brother, stay close to me, okay?"
Li Feng nodded, his eyes wide with excitement. "I will, Big Brother. I'm not afraid."
Li Ming smiled, his eyes crling at the corners. "I know you're not. But it's always better to be safe."
The group continued on, their movements fluid and silent, as they made their way deeper into the Shadow Mountain.
As the hunting party made their way through the dense forest, the sound of leaves crunching beneath their feet filled the air, and the scent of damp earth and greenery wafted up, mingling with the smell of sweat and leather. Li Yuxin, Li Tianhao, Li Feng, Li Weizhi, and Clan Head Li Jian walked together, surrounded by some of the younger members of the clan, their faces filled with curiosity and excitement. The sun was high overhead, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor, and the trees seemed to stretch up to the sky, their branches like giant arms reaching for the heavens.
"Demonic beasts are different from normal beasts, aren't they, Father?" Li Feng asked, his eyes wide with wonder, as he looked up at Li Jian with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
Li Jian nodded, his face serious, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a practiced gaze. "Yes, Li Feng, demonic beasts are creatures that have been corrupted by dark energies, making them much more powerful and aggressive than normal beasts. They often have strange, unnatural features, and their behavior is much more unpredictable."
Li Yuxin frowned, her brow furrowed in concentration. "I've heard that demonic beasts are created when a normal beast is exposed to too much dark energy, like when they eat corrupted prey or are cursed by a powerful sorcerer."
Li Tianhao nodded, his eyes gleaming with interest, as he adjusted his grip on his spear. "That's right, Yuxin. And it's not just a matter of exposure, either. The beast has to be strong enough to survive the corruption, and it has to be willing to give in to its darker nature."
Li Weizhi, Li Tianhao's nephew, shuddered, his face pale, as he looked around nervously. "I don't think I'd want to encounter a demonic beast. They sound terrifying."
Li Jian smiled, his eyes crling at the corners, as he placed a reassuring hand on Li Weizhi's shoulder. "Don't worry, Weizhi, we have the skills and the training to deal with demonic beasts. And besides, we're a team, we'll watch each other's backs."
As they walked, the group continued to discuss the differences between demonic beasts and normal beasts, their conversation flowing easily, like a gentle stream meandering through the forest. They talked about the appearance of demonic beasts, how they were often twisted and distorted, with strange, glowing eyes and razor-sharp claws. They talked about their behavior, how they were often solitary creatures, driven by a primal urge to hunt and kill.
