Chapter 11 - Ch 11 long ya qiang : the dragon fang spear art

The moon was high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the Li village. Li Jian sat in his quarters, his mind racing with thoughts of the upcoming hunt. He was going to lead the expedition to hunt demonic bears, and he wanted to make sure his team was prepared.

"Li Shuying and Li Guozhang will be joining me," he thought to himself. "Their postnatal 3rd layer cultivation will be a big help. But the first squad... they're still too raw. 50 postnatal fighters at the first layer cultivation is not enough."

Li Jian's eyes narrowed. He knew what he had to do. "Tomorrow, we'll start training in Long Ya Qiang spear art. It's the strongest martial art of the Li family, and it's time we mastered it."

He called out to Li Ming, who was waiting outside. "Li Ming, come in."

Li Ming entered, his eyes curious. "Father?"

"Li Ming, I've decided to train the hunting party in Long Ya Qiang spear art. Starting tomorrow, everyone will be on the clan training ground at sunrise."

Li Ming's eyes widened. "Long Ya Qiang? But, Father, that's one of the hardest martial arts in the family!"

Li Jian nodded. "I know. But it's also the strongest. We need to be prepared for the demonic bears. Tell your brothers and Li Weizhi to be there too."

Li Ming nodded, his expression serious. "I will, Father."

Li Jian's gaze turned inward, his eyes filled with determination. "This hunt will be a test for the Li clan. We must not fail."

The next morning, the sun was just rising over the horizon as the Li clan gathered on the training ground. Li Jian stood at the front, his eyes surveying the group. Li Shuying and Li Guozhang stood to his left, their expressions calm and focused. The first squad, including Li Ming, Li Feng, Li Xuan, and Li Weizhi, stood at attention, their eyes fixed on Li Jian.

"Today, we start training in Long Ya Qiang spear art," Li Jian announced. "This is one of the strongest martial arts of the Li family, and it's time we mastered it."

The group nodded, their faces serious. Li Jian began to demonstrate the spear art, his movements fluid and powerful. The group watched intently, their eyes fixed on his every move.

"Long Ya Qiang is not just a spear art," Li Jian explained. "It's a way of life. It's about discipline, focus, and control. When you master Long Ya Qiang, you'll understand the true meaning of strength."

As the training began, Li Jian walked among the group, correcting their stances and movements. Li Ming and Li Feng struggled to keep up, their faces red with exertion. Li Xuan, on the other hand, seemed to pick it up quickly, his movements smooth and natural.

Li Weizhi, the grandson of the head elder, was also struggling, his face scrowned in concentration. Li Jian smiled, remembering when he was young and struggled with the same spear art.

"Li Ming, remember to keep your core stable," Li Jian instructed. "Your power comes from your center, not just your arms."

Li Ming nodded, his face set in determination. He tried again, his movements slightly better this time.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, the training continued. The sound of clashing spears and grunting filled the air, as the Li clan pushed themselves to their limits.

Li Jian called for a break, and the group gathered around him, panting and sweating. "You're all doing well," he said. "But we need to push harder. The demonic bears won't go easy on us."

The group nodded, their faces determined. Li Jian smiled, his eyes filled with pride. "Let's continue."

The training continued for hours, with Li Jian pushing the group to their limits. Slowly but surely, they began to master the Long Ya Qiang spear art. Li Ming and Li Feng struggled, but Li Xuan and Li Weizhi seemed to have a natural talent for it.

As the sun began to set, Li Jian called an end to the training. The group gathered around him, exhausted but exhilarated.

"Well done, everyone," Li Jian said. "You've worked hard today. Remember, Long Ya Qiang is not just a spear art, it's a way of life. Practice it every day, and you'll see improvement."

Li Ming approached him, his eyes curious. "Father, why did you decide to teach us Long Ya Qiang?"

Li Jian smiled. "After I mastered Long Ya Qiang, my strength improved drastically. I believe it's time for the Li clan to finally start learning this spear art and stop avoiding it. We need to be stronger, and Long Ya Qiang is the key."

Li Ming nodded, his eyes filled with understanding. "I see. Thank you, Father."

Li Jian placed a hand on Li Ming's shoulder. "You're welcome, son. Now, let's get some rest. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

The group dispersed, each one lost in their own thoughts. Li Jian watched them go, his eyes filled with pride and anticipation. The Li clan was going to be stronger than ever before.

The next day, the training continued, with Li Jian pushing the group to their limits. The days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into a month. The Li clan trained tirelessly, their bodies sore and exhausted, but their spirits high.

And then, one day, Li Jian called a halt to the training. "You've all done well," he said. "You've mastered the basics of Long Ya Qiang. Now, it's time to put it to the test."

The group nodded, their faces set in determination. They were ready to face whatever lay ahead.

The demonic bear hunt was just around the corner, and the Li clan was ready.
