Chapter 10 - Ch 10 Night of the spear part 2

Li Jian's eyes narrowed as he watched the remaining Tuskan raiders fleeing into the night. "Li Ming, go after them. We can't let them escape and cause trouble for the nearby villages." Li Ming nodded, his expression determined. "I will obey, Father." He turned and took off, his Fēng Xíng Bù footwork allowing him to cover ground quickly and silently.

Li Ming's feet moved with a fluidity that belied his speed, his body leaning slightly forward as he accelerated after the raiders. The night air whipped past his face, his senses on high alert as he tracked his targets. "Wind moves grass, steps like flowing water."

The raiders, thinking they had escaped, were caught off guard when Li Ming suddenly appeared beside them. "Steps like wind, body light like a swallow." Li Ming's spear was already moving, a blur of silver that seemed to dance with the shadows.

The raiders, seeing only one man, thought they could easily overwhelm him. They turned to face Li Ming, their swords at the ready. But Li Ming was no ordinary opponent. "Wild wind sweeps ground spear sweeps all directions." His Fēng Lí Qiáng spear moved with a ferocity that sent the raiders stumbling back.

The lead raider, a burly man with a scar across his cheek, swung his sword in a powerful arc. Li Ming dodged to the side, his spear striking like a snake. " Wind driven lightning ,illusion like spear " The raider tried to block, but Li Ming's spear was too fast, too precise. It struck the raider's shoulder, sending him crashing to the ground.

The other raiders closed in, their swords flashing in the moonlight. Li Ming moved with them, his Fēng Xíng Bù footwork allowing him to evade and counter with deadly precision. "Wind moves lightning passes, steps leave no trace." He danced around the raiders, his spear striking from unexpected angles, leaving them stumbling and confused.

One by one, the raiders fell to Li Ming's spear, their bodies hitting the ground with a thud. The last raider, seeing his companions defeated, turned to flee. But Li Ming was relentless. "Moving in wind, every step generates wind." He chased the raider down, his spear striking true, ending the fight.

Li Ming stood panting, his spear still held in a defensive stance. The night air was heavy with the smell of sweat and blood, the silence punctuated by the occasional groan from the fallen raiders. He nodded to himself, satisfied with his performance. The Fēng Lí Qiáng and Fēng Xíng Bù had served him well.

As he turned to head back to his father, he saw Li Jian approaching, a look of approval on his face. "Well done, Li Ming. You've truly mastered the Fēng Lí Qiáng." Li Ming smiled, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. He knew he still had much to learn, but with his father's guidance and his own determination, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The caravan rolled into the Li village, the wind-swept streets of the village, the wooden gates creaking shut behind them. The air was filled with the smell of cooking food and the sound of children playing in the streets. Li Jian, the respected leader of the Li clan, and Li Ming dismounted the carriage, Li Feng still snoring away inside, oblivious to the commotion around him.

The elders of the Li clan, gathered in the main hall, looked up in shock as Li Jian and Li Ming walked in, covered in blood and grime. But their expressions quickly changed to relief and pride as Li Jian explained the situation. "We were ambushed by over a dozen Tuskan raiders. Li Ming and I handled them."

The elders nodded, their faces serious. Li Weiming, the head elder, spoke up, his voice calm and authoritative. "Well done, Li Jian. Well done, Li Ming. You've brought honor to the Li clan."

Li Jiayun, a petite woman with a warm smile, approached Li Ming. "Li Ming, you've grown so much. I'm proud of you." She examined his injuries, clotting here and there with a gentle touch, her eyes filled with maternal concern.

Li Ming smiled, feeling a sense of comfort. "Thank you, Elder Li Jiayun."

Li Changsen, a gruff old man with a bushy beard, snorted. "Proud? Ha! He needs to keep training. Can't let the young ones get too cocky." But his eyes twinkled with amusement, betraying his tough exterior.

Li Jian chuckled, clapping Elder Li Changsen on the back. "Don't worry, Elder Li Changsen. Li Ming knows the drill."

The hall fell silent as Li Jian took his seat, his presence commanding respect. Li Weiming nodded, his eyes serious. "Li Jian, you've done well. The Li clan is proud of you and Li Ming."

Li Jian bowed his head, his expression humble. "Thank you, Elder Li Weiming. But we weren't the only ones who did well. Li Feng... he was impressive in the tournament."

Li Weiming nodded. "I've heard. The Li clan's future looks bright. But let's talk about the demonic bears. We've got a good price for the hides, but it's a dangerous hunt."

Li Jian nodded, his eyes serious. "I'll lead the expedition. Li Ming will join me. We'll bring back the hides and meat, and make a good profit."

The elders nodded in agreement, their faces filled with confidence in Li Jian's leadership.

As the meeting adjourned, the villagers gathered around Li Jian, seeking his guidance and advice. He spoke with each one, his words calm and reassuring, his presence a comfort to all.

Li Ming watched his father, feeling a sense of pride and admiration. Li Jian was a true leader, respected and loved by all.

Li Feng stumbled in, looking around groggily. "W-what's going on?" He was met with a chorus of cheers and teasing, the villagers laughing and patting him on the back.

Li Jian smiled, clapping Li Feng on the back. "Li Feng, you've done well. But don't get too drunk next time, okay?"

The villagers laughed, and Li Feng grinned, rubbing his head. "Got it, Father."

The feast began, with music and laughter filling the air. Li Jian sat at the head table, Li Ming and Li Feng on either side of him. He raised his cup, his voice ringing out across the square. "To the Li clan! May we always stand strong and united!"

The villagers echoed his words, their voices loud and proud.
