Chapter 7 - "You Have Been Summoned!"

[Annihilation in progress ••• ]

Castra's body slowly became faint, starting from his dim hands, feet and finally…his upper body.

Castra's consciousness became blurry, and sleepiness struck him hard.

Oh, no! He's going to die for real!

[Poo! What are you doing! Ahhh, help me!! You said if I completed the main mission, I won't die!!]

Both Poo and Garfin were caught off guard by Castra's sudden change.

—Why is the puny human being annihilated?

There's nothing that can save a spirit who was about to be annihilated!

Unless there's a miracle—

"Miracle" Poo: [Ah, ah, sum ting wong! Hold on, host! I'm helping you!]

The golden poop immediately dived back into Castra's system panel and soon, a cold machine voice rang in Castra's mind.

DUNG! [You have received the main mission's belated reward: A Summon Chance × 1]

[Hijacking the Spirit World's order ••• ]

[Hijacking successful!]

The next moment, a blue virtual panel from the Spirit World popped up in front of Castra's eyes.

BEEP. [Annihilation process is paused.]

[Summon ban penalty is temporarily lifted.]

[Starting basic body restoration ••• ]

Castra's body that had already lost most of its limbs was slowly restored to a semi-transparent state.

Not solid, but just enough to stay alive.

Then, the next second, a new spirit world notification popped up.

BEEP. [You have received a random summon request.]

[You will be teleported in 3, 2, 1...]

A familiar summoning magic circle appeared below Castra's feet.

Oh, my!

How did the system hijack the Spirit World's order and allow him to be summoned when he was under a penalty?

The system is more awesome than he thought!

[Poo, thank you so much!!]

Castra was delighted, but Garfin's face instantly darkened as he lunged towards Castra while meowing fiercely,

"Stop there, hooman! Don't run away, meow!!"

Garfin grabbed onto Castra's hair, tightly covering Castra's face.

"Ah! Your majesty! Your majesty! I can't breathe! Help— "

Amidst the chaos, the two figures plus one poop…disappeared into the magic circle.

Poof.

At the same time, a magic circle appeared somewhere in the human world, followed by the Spirit World's notification ringing in Castra's mind.

BEEP. [You have been summoned to the Human World's Elementé Continent, Flamme Empire.]

BEEP. [Due to the geography's special status, all Fire Element Spirits will get a damage amplifier buff.]

[All Wind and Wood Element Spirits will get a damage reduction debuff.]

[All Water Element Spirits will be marked and targeted.]

Thank God he's an Earth elemental spirit, so he wouldn't get a debuff...

Then, Castra saw a bright red [DAMAGE REDUCTION DEBUFF] label above a certain fluffy creature on his shoulder.

....??

"Wait, wait, King Garfin— you get a debuff? You're a wind element spirit??"

No, wait, the problem is, how did Garfin follow him to be summoned??

He had never heard of anyone being able to bring another spirit with them to get summoned!

Garfin quickly clutched Castra's neck while slowly climbing onto the man's shoulder, his face was full of arrogance.

"Hmph! Since this king has marked you, don't think that you can escape this king's paw, meow!"

Let's see how this spirit can run away!

"Okay, as you wish, your majesty…"

Castra could only hold back the tears in his eyes as his semi-transparent figure slowly appeared above the magic circle.

Castra's eyesight that was previously blurry and chaotic slowly became clearer.

What appeared in front of his eyes were a row of torches that flickered along with the screams of excitement from the people sitting on the row of stone seats.

The smell of blood filled the air, and the dim lighting made the atmosphere even more suffocating.

This place is the Flamme Empire's most famous and popular specialty—

The Battle Arena.

"And there it is!! Summoner Red Riding Hood summoned a new summon! What kind of summon spirit will it be??"

The arena's commentator roared and the spectators immediately cheered even louder than before.

"That's the new summon!"

The spectators stared feverishly at the blurry figure that slowly became clearer as the magic circle dimmed.

The summon was a half-naked humanoid spirit glowing with a white halo holding a two-meter-tall "staff" in his right hand.

His black hair, golden eyes and tanned skin was striking, especially that toned upper body.

He was sitting on a huge strange-shaped white throne with his back straightened, looking like the God of War in the myth.

But the white throne...what kind of thing is that?

How come they had never seen anything like that before?

Only Poo, who saw Castra's "white throne", almost pooped on the spot.

That familiar shape! That modern design that should have never appeared in this world!

Even the sound effect of something falling into the water and the sound of a flushing...

Isn't that a—

[Sitting toilet??]

Are you serious???

Even more shocked than Poo was Garfin, who was lazily hanging on Castra's shoulder when an unknown force from the Spirit World threw him to the ground.

Ah, is this the "posing time" for the summoned spirit?

Easy peasy!

Garfin stretched all his four limbs, lowered his body and entered the feline's hunting mode, but then—

A squat toilet appeared right below his feet.

!!

"Meoowww!!!"

Garfin almost slipped into the squat toilet but he immediately jumped three feet high and lunged towards Castra's face.

"Puny human!! Are you trying to kill this king?!"

With a bang, Castra was almost thrown off his throne with Garfin stuck at his face.

"Gah! Your majesty!! It's a misunderstanding! Ah— Really! Achoo!"

Castra quickly grabbed the orange cat's neck of fate and put the cat whose fur exploded into a ball back to his shoulder.

Pur pur no Jutsu!

Castra rubbed Garfin's chin to appease the king's anger while looking around the colosseum.

Where's his summoner?

"Hey, whele ale ywou looking? Down hele! Down hele!"

A childish voice suddenly entered Castra's ears, and he subconsciously looked down...

Only to see something unexpected.

"A...a child?"

Is that his summoner?? A little girl who was only barely as tall as his knee??

The youngest summoner was at least ten years old.

This one was five at most!

And what was such a little kid doing at the dangerous battle arena??
