Just an ordinary midwinters evening. The night was still, the clouds covering the moonlight stopping it's silvery glow from shining through.
The soft glow of the television set illuminated the pale blue walls of the living room where a child sat colouring while her mother slept on the sofa behind her.
The dark figure looking in from the dark street grinned. He had found her. This time he had the upper hand. Strange that from this view she looked like any other human. Not the deadly killer she was, not the killer that had murdered so many of his kind. Silent as a shadow he glided towards the side of the house. This was the moment, she was completely unaware and he would add her life to his collection.
Swiftly he push down on the handle of the side door forcing the lock. Silently, he crept down the corridor towards the soft glow emitting from the room at the end. Despite this slight noise opening the door had made she hadn't stirred from a position. Without a moment hesitation, he lashed out grabbing the woman around the throat her eyes shot open wide with shock.
" Finally, I had another one of your kind to my collection" there was a hint of glee to his voice as he said this. With one Swift movement he bit into her neck draining her of her life force. Her leg kicked wildly to no avail, her eyes scanning wildly until there was no life left within them.
As he dropped her lifeless body to the ground, a shrill shriek emitted from the little girl who had lung sense dropped her colouring. His eyes rounded on her, his face spreading into a wide grin.
" don't worry my child I will be back for you." With in seconds the house was empty leaving the dead woman her eyes staring unseeing, her body drained of blood and the trembling form next to her.
