Chapter 27 - The Stranger Inside

I couldn't stop shaking.

Even though the Breeding Hall was warm and filled with the heavy scent of sex and sweat, a deep cold had settled into my bones. My hands trembled so badly I had to clench them into fists. Every breath felt too shallow, too fast, like my lungs were being squeezed by an invisible hand. The golden light inside me surged and flickered wildly, sending erratic pulses of heat and nausea through my body.

Liora tried again, crawling closer, her small pale body still marked with dried streaks of my cum. "Alex… please. You're scaring us. You never left. You were here the whole time."

Kaia sat up, her heavy breasts swaying, voice low and careful. "You were so intense last night. You took all of us. You kept saying you wanted to own us, to mark us. You've never been that rough before… but we loved it."

Morgana remained perfectly still, purple hair spilling over her bare shoulders, watching me with that calm, unreadable gaze. "You never left this room, Alex. You spent the entire night inside us."

I scrambled backward until my back hit the headboard, sheets tangling around my legs. My chest heaved. The room felt like it was closing in.

"I died," I whispered, the words scraping out of my throat. "I followed the man with the silver eyes into the alley. Someone stabbed me. I felt the blade go in. I tasted blood. I felt myself dying on the ground… and then I woke up here. With all of you. And you're telling me I never left? That I was fucking all of you the whole time?"

Liora's eyes filled with tears. "You were amazing. You took me so deep… I begged you not to stop. You came inside me again and again. I can still feel it."

Kaia nodded slowly. "You painted my tits. You made me lick it off while you fucked Lirien from behind. You were like a different person. So hungry. So endless."

I clutched my head with both hands, digging my fingers into my scalp until it hurt. My breathing was spiraling out of control now. Black spots danced at the edges of my vision.

"What if it wasn't me?" I gasped. "What if something else was inside my body last night? What if… what if I'm sharing this body with something? What if next time… I don't come back?"

The words hung in the air like smoke.

The girls went very still.

Liora's hand froze halfway toward me. Kaia's smile faded completely. Even Morgana's calm expression tightened.

I looked at each of them — at their beautiful faces, their naked bodies still marked with the evidence of whatever had happened while I was gone — and the terror finally broke me.

I couldn't stay here.

I couldn't sit in this bed surrounded by women who had been fucked by something wearing my skin.

I had to get out.

I shoved the sheets aside and scrambled off the massive bed, nearly falling as my legs shook beneath me. The girls called my name, voices overlapping in confusion and worry, but I didn't stop. I ran.

Naked. Barefoot. Heart slamming against my ribs.

I burst through the doors of the Breeding Hall and sprinted down the corridor, feet slapping against the cold stone. The golden light inside me flared erratically, giving me speed I didn't ask for. I didn't know where I was going. I just knew I had to run.

Behind me, I heard footsteps — the girls calling after me, their voices echoing off the walls.

But I didn't look back.

I kept running, panic clawing at my throat, the same terrifying thought repeating over and over in my head:

What if next time… I don't come back?
