Chapter 30 - The Echo That Wears My Face

I ran until my lungs burned and my legs felt like they were made of lead. The golden light inside me kept pushing me forward in erratic bursts, making my movements jerky and unnatural. Every time my bare feet hit the cold stone, pain shot up through my ankles and knees, but I welcomed it. Pain was real. Pain belonged to me. The memories flashing through my mind did not.

The ruined training hall gave way to a long, collapsed hallway lined with shattered statues of ancient sorceresses. Moonlight poured through gaps in the ceiling, painting everything in cold silver. I could hear the girls behind me, their footsteps echoing, their voices calling my name with growing desperation. Liora's soft pleas cut the deepest. Kaia's deeper shouts sounded almost angry. Morgana's voice remained sharp and commanding, ordering me to stop.

I didn't stop.

Another glitch slammed into me like a physical blow.

I had Morgana pressed face-down on the silk sheets, her purple hair wrapped tightly around my fist as I drove into her from behind with savage force. Her body jolted forward with every brutal thrust. She was moaning, cursing, telling me to go harder. I leaned over her back, bit down on her shoulder hard enough to draw blood, and growled into her ear, "Even you break so beautifully when I fuck you like this." She came violently, her cunt spasming around me while she screamed my name.

I cried out and stumbled, catching myself against a broken pillar. My shoulder scraped against the rough stone, drawing blood, but the pain felt distant. I pushed off and kept running, tears blurring my vision.

That wasn't me. I would never speak to them like that. I would never hurt them for pleasure. But the version of me from last night had done exactly that, and they had begged for more. They had loved it.

The corridor opened into a wide courtyard filled with rubble and ash. I sprinted across it, feet kicking up gray clouds that clung to my skin. My chest heaved. My vision kept tunneling. Every few seconds another flash would hit, each one more vivid and depraved than the last.

Kaia was on her knees, tears streaming down her face as I fucked her throat without mercy. Saliva and cum dripped from her chin onto her heavy breasts. I held her head in place with both hands, thrusting deep until her throat bulged. "That's it," I snarled. "Choke on your god's cock." Her eyes rolled back in ecstasy as she came untouched.

I staggered to a stop in the middle of the courtyard, doubling over with my hands on my knees. I retched, but nothing came up. My whole body was shaking so violently I could barely stay upright.

"Alex!"

Liora reached me first. She was breathing hard, her small naked body glistening with sweat under the moonlight. She reached out to touch me but stopped when I flinched violently.

"Please," she begged, voice trembling. "Whatever you're seeing, it isn't real. You were with us. You were so good to us. You made us feel things we've never felt before."

Kaia arrived seconds later, her full breasts rising and falling rapidly. "You kept telling us we belonged to you. You were so dominant. So powerful. We all came so many times we lost count."

Morgana stopped a few paces away, watching me with sharp purple eyes. She didn't speak. She just observed, like I was a creature that might bite at any moment.

I backed away from all three of them, hands raised.

"Stay back," I gasped. "Please. I don't know what I am right now. I don't know who was inside me last night. I remember dying. I remember the knife. I remember the blood in my mouth. And then I woke up here… covered in all of you… and you're telling me I did things I have no memory of."

My voice cracked. The panic was swallowing me whole now. My knees buckled. I dropped to the ground in the middle of the ash-covered courtyard, rocking slightly as I hugged my arms around myself.

"What if it's still inside me?" I whispered. "What if that thing is waiting for me to lower my guard again? What if next time it doesn't let me come back? What if I wake up tomorrow and I'm gone? What if the next time you're all begging and screaming, it's not really me?"

Tears streamed down my face. I couldn't stop them. I couldn't stop shaking.

Liora knelt a few feet away, tears in her own eyes. "Alex… you're scaring me. You're still you. We can feel it. We can see it."

Kaia looked lost. "You were different last night, yes. But it was still you. It had to be you."

Morgana remained silent, watching me with that calculating stare that made my skin crawl.

I looked at their naked bodies, still marked with faint bruises and dried cum from the night I couldn't remember, and the horror settled even deeper.

I had become dangerous.

Not just to the world outside.

But to them.

To the only people in this place who had shown me any kind of warmth.

I curled into myself on the cold stone, shaking, sobbing quietly as the golden light inside me flickered like a dying flame.

And for the first time since arriving in this world, I genuinely wished I had never woken up in that silk bed.

To be continued.
