Recap chapter 9
Ishan shook his head, slightly confused.
"I don't know. It was from an unknown number. They didn't say anything and just hung up."
Not thinking much about it, both of them locked the café properly and stepped outside. Soon, they got on their bikes and rode away into the night, unaware that something dark was slowly moving toward their lives.
On the other side of the call, a mysterious person was sitting in a large, dimly lit room. His fingers slowly traced the A-shaped locket hanging around his neck. A cold, dangerous smile appeared on his lips.
"Very soon, I'm coming to meet you, Ishan…" he whispered, his voice filled with obsession and something far more sinister.
Chapter - 10
Slowly, the night passed, and morning arrived. Ever since Nayra heard about Yash's health, she had been wanting to see him, but the previous day she couldn't go to meet him. So early in the morning, she woke up and left with her driver for Yash's mansion.
After some time, she reached Yash's mansion. As soon as she arrived, she saw Rajveer jogging. Seeing Nayra, he came up to her and asked,
"What's the matter, Nayra dear? Why have you come here so early in the morning?"
Seeing Rajveer, she greeted him politely and said,
"Uncle, I've come to pick up Yash. He always comes to pick me up, so today I thought I should come and get him."
Hearing this, a smile appeared on Rajveer's face. He asked her to have breakfast with them, and Nayra smiled and said, "Yes, Uncle," before going inside the mansion and heading upstairs to Yash's room.
Rajveer liked Nayra a lot, and he was also a good friend of Nayra's father, Manish Goenka. His only wish was that their friendship would turn into a family relationship someday—that Nayra and Yash would get married in the future.
Meanwhile, Nayra entered Yash's room and saw him sleeping peacefully, hugging a pillow like a small puppy. Suddenly, a mischievous idea came into her mind. She picked up a mug of water and threw it on his face.
Yash woke up in shock and started shouting, "Flood! Flood!"
Seeing this, Nayra burst out laughing, holding her stomach.
When Yash saw Nayra laughing, he got out of bed and asked,
"Nayra, what are you doing here so early in the morning?"
Controlling her laughter, she said,
"Idiot, I've come to pick you up for college!"
Yash looked at the clock and, annoyed, hugged his pillow again and said,
"It's only 7 o'clock. Wake me up at 8!"
Grabbing his hand and forcefully pulling him up, she said,
"No way! I'm very hungry. Get ready quickly, then we'll eat something together!"
Poor Yash had no choice but to get up since Nayra had told him to. So he said "Okay" and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
Nayra looked around Yash's room, and her eyes fell on a picture on the wall—a photo of Yash's mother and a group photo of Yash, Nayra, and Ahaan. Just then, Yash came out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his body.
When Nayra turned around and saw him, she quickly turned away and said,
"How shameless you are! How can you come out without clothes?"
Yash teased her and replied,
"Oh madam, this is my room. I can live however I want. If you have a problem, just close your eyes!"
Saying this, he started picking out clothes. Nayra then said,
"Should I choose clothes for you?"
Yash agreed and stepped aside. Nayra picked out a white T-shirt and a red jacket and handed them to him.
Seeing her choice, Yash got irritated and said,
"Who wears such light colors to college?"
Nayra glared at him and said,
"If you act too dramatic, I'll give you a pink shirt!"
As soon as Yash heard "pink," he suddenly remembered Ishan and got lost in his thoughts. Nayra snapped her fingers near his face and asked,
"Whom are you thinking about?"
Yash replied, "No one," took the clothes from her, and went back into the bathroom.
On the other hand, Ishan also got ready, came downstairs, and sat with everyone for breakfast. Seeing his sister, he asked,
"You met Miss Raichand, right? How was your meeting with her?"
Mihika excitedly replied,
"It was very good. Miss Raichand is very beautiful and talented!"
Ishan smiled and said,
"Good, I'm glad you met her."
Then everyone started talking and having breakfast.
Yash came out of the bathroom ready and saw Nayra staring greedily at a purple hoodie in his cupboard. He asked,
"Nayra, do you want this?"
Nayra happily said,
"You'll give it to me?"
Yash said, "Okay."
So Nayra took the hoodie and went to the bathroom to change. Seeing her antics, Yash smiled.
Nayra got ready and came downstairs with Yash. Shagun had already prepared breakfast and asked the servants to serve it, because she knew that Yash wouldn't eat if he saw her—but since Nayra was with him, she would somehow convince him to eat.
From the aroma, Yash understood that Shagun had cooked the breakfast. He picked up his bag and was about to leave when Nayra grabbed his bag from behind, made a cute face, and said,
"I'm hungry!"
Just then, Ahaan came and said,
"Hey, I'm also very hungry!"
Seeing Ahaan suddenly, both Yash and Nayra said in surprise,
"You're here!"
Ahaan smiled shyly and said,
"Bro, I was missing you a lot, so I thought I'd come to your mansion to pick you up myself."
Nayra grabbed Ahaan's hand and pulled him toward the dining table, saying,
"Come on! This idiot doesn't want to eat, so we both will!"
Both of them attacked the food like hungry monsters, as if they hadn't eaten for months. Seeing them, Yash also sat at the dining table and started eating with them without any fuss.
From upstairs, Rajveer and Shagun watched them and smiled.
On the other side, Ishan also finished his breakfast and went out of the house with Mihika. He took out his bike, sat on it, and told Mihika to sit as well. Then he started the bike and left the house.
Meanwhile, the three of them (Yash, Nayra, and Ahaan) also finished their breakfast. Ahaan told them to come with him in his car. All three came out of the mansion and walked toward Ahaan's car. Ahaan opened the back door for Nayra, and she sat inside. Ahaan sat in the driving seat, and Yash sat beside him.
As soon as everyone was seated, Ahaan locked the doors, started the car, and drove out of the mansion.
On the other side, Pari and Kartik had already reached the college and were waiting for the three of them to arrive. Just then, Ishan came and, as soon as he saw Kartik, he asked,
"Whom are you waiting for? Don't you have class to attend?"
Kartik smiled and said,
"We're just waiting for Yash, Ahaan, and Nayra. Once they arrive, we'll go together."
In the last few days, their friendship had grown quite strong, and they always waited for each other like this.
Then Pari, looking a little sad, said,
"Why hasn't Yash arrived yet?"
Ishan replied rudely,
"Only Yash?"
Pari stammered and said,
"No, I mean Yash and his friends. Why haven't they come yet?"
Just then, the three of them reached the college. Ahaan stopped his car, and all three got out and walked toward Kartik and Pari, who were standing there. Seeing the three of them coming together, Kartik said,
"What's going on? Today all three came together, and that too in the same car!"
When Yash's eyes fell on Ishan standing there, he thought to himself,
"After what I did yesterday, this rude guy won't even talk to me, let alone look at me."
The three of them reached their friends, and everyone started wishing each other good morning and talking. But Yash and Ishan were just staring into each other's eyes.
Seeing Yash, Ishan thought to himself,
"What does this boy actually want? Understanding his mood swings is harder than understanding girls."
Thinking this, he walked away toward his class.
