Recap chapter 8
On the other side, Mihika enters Miss Raichand's house to meet her and starts looking around the house. Suddenly, a girl bumps into her. Seeing Mihika, the girl angrily raises her hand to slap her.
At that moment, Ahaan catches her hand and says her name in a strict voice, "Samaira, what are you doing?"
Seeing her brother shouting at her like that, Samaira gets even more furious. She clenches her fists, glares at Mihika, and walks away without saying anything.
By then, Malvika also arrives. Mihika, seeing Malvika, happily goes to her and says, "Are you Miss Raichand?"
From behind, Ahaan says, "Yes, she is Miss Raichand, and I am her son."
Hearing this, a smile spreads across Mihika's face. Malvika takes her inside and starts showing her all the paintings she had made.
Chapter - 9
Ahaan was feeling extremely jealous at the moment—of his own mom. Ever since Mihika had arrived, his mom had been glued to her, not leaving her alone for even a second.
After a while, both Mihika and Malvika came downstairs. Smiling at Malvika, Mihika said,
"Ma'am, your paintings are really amazing. I want to become a famous painter just like you."
Before Malvika could reply, Ahaan asked,
"So, you paint too?"
Hearing his question, Mihika nodded in agreement.
It was already quite late, so Mihika looked at Malvika and said,
"Ma'am, I should leave now."
Before Malvika could say anything, Ahaan immediately said,
"No, not yet."
Malvika glared at him, and Ahaan gave a silly smile and said,
"Mom, Mihika came to our mansion for the first time. Are you really going to let her leave without feeding her properly?"
Hearing this, Malvika agreed and told Mihika to have dinner there. But Mihika politely refused,
"Sorry ma'am, but not today. My mom must have already cooked dinner, and I like having dinner with my family."
A smile appeared on Malvika's face, and she told the servant to bring coffee and snacks for everyone.
All three of them sat on the sofa and started talking. After a while, the servant brought the snacks. Ahaan stood up, took the tray from the servant, and first handed a cup of coffee to his mom, then to Mihika.
Seeing this, a smile appeared on Mihika's face. Malvika leaned closer to her and whispered,
"He doesn't do this every day. He's only doing it today, maybe because you're here."
Both Malvika and Mihika started laughing. Ahaan, slightly annoyed, said,
"I can hear everything, Mom. I know what you're saying about me."
Hearing this, both of them laughed again, and soon Ahaan also joined them. The three of them continued chatting while sipping their coffee.
On the other side, Ishan had reached his café. He went into the kitchen and started working angrily. Kartik came up to him and asked,
"What's wrong, Ishan? Why did you suddenly leave college today?"
"I had some work," Ishan replied and continued working. Kartik started helping him and said,
"You know, your baby boy Yash didn't come to college today either."
Remembering Yash's recent behavior, Ishan looked at Kartik and said,
"Kartik, I don't think this Yash is normal. It feels like he's planning something against me."
Kartik looked at him seriously and asked,
"What? Why do you think so?"
Ishan himself didn't have an answer, so he stayed silent and kept working.
Meanwhile, Mihika finished her snacks and was about to leave. Malvika told Ahaan to drop her home. Mihika said goodbye and left the mansion with Ahaan.
Ahaan politely opened the car door for Mihika, and she smiled and sat inside. After she sat, Ahaan locked the door, walked around to the driver's seat, got in, and started the car.
While driving, Ahaan apologized to Mihika for Samaira's behavior. Mihika smiled and said,
"Why are you saying sorry? It's not your fault."
Her words gave Ahaan some relief. Then Mihika asked,
"By the way, who was that girl, and why was she so angry at me?"
Ahaan laughed and said,
"Oh, she's like that—short-tempered. Her name is Samaira. She's my younger sister, and just like you, she's about to give her board exams. She's the youngest at home, so everyone dotes on her. And she's Dad's favorite too."
Listening to him, Mihika asked,
"So, what does your dad do?"
Ahaan replied,
"My dad is in the software business, so he stays very busy." Then he laughed and added,
"My dad and Samaira are both the same—both a little short-tempered."
After saying that, Ahaan asked,
"You didn't tell me who all are there in your family?"
Mihika smiled and said,
"Just like you, I also have a small and lovely family. There's my mom, my dad, a very loving brother, and I'm the youngest in the house."
They kept talking for a while, and soon Mihika's house arrived. She stepped out of the car, thanked Ahaan warmly, said bye, and went inside after opening the gate.
Ahaan wanted to stop her and ask for her number, but he didn't have the courage. He just stood there, watching her walk away.
As soon as Mihika left, Ahan also got inside his car. He locked the doors, started the engine, and took out his phone. His fingers hesitated for a second before dialing Sameera's number.
The call rang… and then, she cut it.
Seeing that, Ahan frowned, irritation and confusion flashing across his face.
"What has happened to this girl? She's been acting strange for the past few days," he muttered to himself, his jaw tightening.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as well, and he pressed the accelerator harder, the car speeding through the empty road while his mind was filled with unanswered questions and an uneasy feeling he couldn't shake off.
Meanwhile, Ishan and Kartik had already finished all their work. They were about to leave together when Ishan's phone suddenly rang.
He answered casually, "Hello?"
But there was only silence on the other side. A few seconds later, the call disconnected.
Kartik looked at him curiously.
"Who was it, Ishan?"
Ishan shook his head, slightly confused.
"I don't know. It was from an unknown number. They didn't say anything and just hung up."
Not thinking much about it, both of them locked the café properly and stepped outside. Soon, they got on their bikes and rode away into the night, unaware that something dark was slowly moving toward their lives.
On the other side of the call, a mysterious person was sitting in a large, dimly lit room. His fingers slowly traced the A-shaped locket hanging around his neck. A cold, dangerous smile appeared on his lips.
"Very soon, I'm coming to meet you, Ishan…" he whispered, his voice filled with obsession and something far more sinister.
Thank you
