Chapter 19 - The Boss Gifts a Sword!

"Sir, I can't sell you this!" The boss immediately reminded Jason when he saw him pick up the weapon.

"Why can't you sell it?" Jason asked the boss."My lord, you don't understand. Once, when I was running a business buying steel materials, I encountered bandits. I almost lost my life then. Suddenly, a man with golden hair and a physique like a lion saved me. He was Dawn Lionheart, the King of the Southern Realm. This sword was forged for him, hoping that one day I could give it to him to express my gratitude, so it is not for sale," the boss said to Jason.

"What a coincidence! This is Dawn's son, young Lord Jason Lionheart!"

Marty immediately said to the boss.

"What?""Are you the son of Lord Dawn of the Southern Realm?" the shopkeeper said with some disbelief.

"That's right, Dawn Lyne is my father. Can't you recognize our family's golden hair and eyes?" Jason said to the shopkeeper.

"Indeed! You do have the same hair and eye color as the Lyne family!" the shopkeeper said.

"I was ordered by my father to come to Saggos to take up the position of deputy city lord. My father has plenty of good swords. Sell me this sword, shopkeeper, and I will express your gratitude to my father!"

Jason really liked this sword, he really took a fancy to it.

"This..."The boss hesitated a bit.

"Oh, boss! What are you hesitating about? This really is the young master of the Ryan family, Jason Ryan! Just give him the sword, and you won't have to worry about it all day!"

Vivian suddenly used her special move, shaking the boss's arm and acting cute and coquettish.

"Uh..."

Vivian's affected voice almost made the boss unable to resist, and he panicked for a moment. It all happened so suddenly.

"My god, this girl is really something!"

Marty whispered from the side."Hehe, this trick will have to become our secret weapon in the future!" Jason said with a smile.

"Pretty please~! Pretty please~!"

Vivian shook the owner's arm frantically.

"Alright, alright! I'll give this sword to Young Master, and I hope you'll convey my gratitude to Lord Dawn when you return!"

The owner said, taking the sword down and handing it to Jason.

"Thank you very much, then. Rest assured, I will definitely convey it to my father!"

Jason took the sword, examined it carefully, and said to the owner."Well, consider these weapons my gift to you today, you don't need to pay."

The shopkeeper said generously to Jason.

"That won't do. My father taught me never to take anything from anyone for free. Taking things for free damages the honor of our Lyon family. Take this bag of gold!"

As Jason spoke, he threw all the money he had on him to the shopkeeper.

He knew these weapons must be expensive, and his money might not be enough, but he had to save face, so he threw it all on the table and left with a flourish.

"Young Master, please take care."The boss saw Jason and his group off.

Vivian suddenly turned her head and winked her watery eyes at the boss, making him blush.

"It's good to be rich!" Marty said to Jason, playing with his new weapon.

"How is it? Isn't following me much more comfortable than your days as a thief?" Jason said to Marty.

"Haha, it's definitely much more comfortable," Marty said with a laugh.

"By the way, what stage is your rage at now?" Jason asked Kaladi and the others.

"I'm currently at C-level with a pretty good level of thickness.""Karadi said to Jason.

"What? Your aura thickness is decent? Doesn't look like it. You and I are both C-rank, and my aura thickness is just average, yet I beat you so badly you couldn't even fight back," Marty said.

"You gave me a chance to fight back? I clearly won in the end, okay!" Karadi said to Marty.

"Tch, if the young master hadn't taken a cheap shot at me at the crucial moment, ambushing me, you'd probably be a dead man under my blade by now," Marty said to Karadi.

"I was just careless last time, that's why you got some cheap shots in. Otherwise, let's fight again, and this time I'll definitely defeat you!""Come on then, don't come crying to me when you lose!" Karadi said to Marty.

Marty brandished his axe at Karadi and said, "Alright, alright, you two stop it. Since you're both so eager, save your energy. We'll head to Mount Zorn in a few days to hunt some Fury Beast Crystals!"

Jason said to them. Jason knew his cousin was already a B-grade Fury Master, while he was still a C-grade, so he was eager to level up as soon as possible. Plus, he was currently penniless and wanted to hunt some Fury Crystals to sell for money."Alright, I'll make sure you all witness my power then!"

Karadi said to the others.

"Heh heh, wanna bet who hunts the most enraged beast crystals?"

Marty said to Karadi.

"Heh heh, why wouldn't I? A bet's a bet!" Karadi said to Marty.

"So when are we leaving? I've never been to Mount Zorn before, I'm so excited!"

Vivian said to Jason.

"We'll rest up properly and then we'll go." Jason said to Vivian.A few days later, Jason finally set off with Karadi and the others, leaving Sagos for Mount Zorn.

When Jason and his group were leaving, Kelida even came to see them off outside the city.

"Cousin, you must be careful this time, don't get lost again!" Kelida said to Jason.

"Cousin, don't worry, I believe my followers won't abandon me like you did last time."

Jason mocked Kelida.

"Cousin, what are you saying? We searched everywhere for you for a long time that day, and only left when we really couldn't find you."

Kelida explained to Jason somewhat awkwardly."Of course I know that. Alright, cousin, you guys should head back. No need to see us off, we can go by ourselves. Don't worry about us, we should be back soon," Jason said to Kelida.

"Okay, then be careful and make sure to come back early!" Kelida said to Jason.

Jason nodded and set off with Kaladi and the others.

After Jason left, Kelida snapped his fingers at the follower behind him, and the follower immediately came over to Kelida's side.

"Since he went by himself, find a way to make sure he doesn't come back," Kelida said to his follower."Okay, I understand, I'll go do it right away!" Kelida's attendant responded before leaving.

"If you insist on going to Mount Zorn to die, then there's nothing I can do, you can't blame me for being ruthless." Kedali said to himself with a sinister smile.
