Chapter 165 - Chapter 163 – The Lion’s Den

Hex POV

My head felt heavy.

Like someone had stuffed cotton inside my brain.

Slowly… I opened my eyes.

The first thing I noticed was the cold floor.

The second thing… the ropes around my hands.

"What the…"

I blinked several times, trying to focus.

The room was dim.

Concrete walls.

Metal pipes.

Old lights flickering above.

And chairs.

A lot of chairs.

Then my heart jumped.

Keifer.

Yuri.

Ci-N.

Felix.

David.

Rory.

Blaster.

Percy.

All of them were tied to chairs.

Unconscious.

"Hey… hey!"

I tried to move closer but the ropes around my wrists pulled tight.

"Great…"

I muttered.

"Kidnapped. Again."

I took a deep breath and started twisting my wrists.

The rope was tight.

But whoever tied it clearly underestimated me.

After a few minutes of pulling, twisting, and rubbing the rope against the metal edge of the chair—

Snap.

The rope loosened.

"Yes."

I quickly untied the rest and stood up.

My legs felt shaky but I walked toward Keifer.

He looked terrible.

Pale.

Unconscious.

"Keifer?"

No response.

I shook his shoulder.

Nothing.

"Seriously?"

I glanced around nervously.

"Wake up, man…"

Still nothing.

I scratched my head.

Then an idea popped into my head.

"What if I slap him?"

I stared at him.

"…Would that work?"

I raised my hand slightly.

Then paused.

A small laugh escaped my mouth.

"Imagine he wakes up and kills me instead."

I rubbed my face.

"Why am I even thinking about this…"

Then I sighed.

"Oh right."

"I'm kidnapped."

A slow clap echoed in the room.

Clap.

Clap.

Clap.

I froze.

A voice spoke calmly from behind me.

"You know… people your age are usually in school right now."

My heart dropped.

I turned around slowly.

Standing near the doorway…

Kaiser Watson.

Tall.

Calm.

Smiling like he owned the world.

"Well well," he said, tilting his head.

"Night Byte's little brother."

Before I could react—

He stepped forward and grabbed my jaw tightly.

His grip was strong.

Painfully strong.

"Let go," I said through clenched teeth.

Kaiser chuckled.

"Such attitude."

I didn't wait.

My fist shot forward.

BAM!

I punched him straight in the stomach.

But the moment my fist hit him—

Pain exploded through my hand.

"Ah—!"

I staggered back holding my knuckles.

"What the—"

Kaiser laughed.

"You can't hurt me."

He slowly lifted his shirt.

Underneath…

A thick metal plate strapped to his stomach.

"Protection," he said proudly.

"Smart people prepare."

He removed the metal plate calmly.

Then before I could react—

SLAM!

He swung it.

The metal plate smashed into my face.

My body flew sideways and crashed onto the floor.

Pain rang in my ears.

Before I could get up—

Kaiser grabbed my jaw again and lifted my head.

"You children really thought you could challenge me."

Footsteps echoed.

Several men entered the room.

One of them was carrying a large water hose.

Kaiser looked at them lazily.

"Splash them."

The man nodded.

The hose turned on.

SSSSSHHHHHH!!

A powerful stream of cold water blasted across the room.

It slammed directly into Keifer and the others.

"COUGH—!"

Water soaked their clothes instantly.

Another blast hit Yuri.

Then Felix.

Then Rory.

Even I got drenched.

Cold water splashed over my face.

"HEY!"

The men kept spraying.

Finally—

Keifer coughed violently.

"Cough— what the hell—?!"

Yuri jerked awake.

"Water?!"

Ci-N sputtered.

"Who turned the rain on?!"

Felix coughed while shaking his head.

"What is happening—?!"

The boys slowly woke up one by one.

Confused.

Wet.

Coughing.

Then they noticed the ropes.

And the room.

And Kaiser.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Keifer's eyes turned cold.

Kaiser clapped slowly again.

"Good."

He smiled widely.

"Now the princes and the king are awake."

He turned toward the door.

"Let's bring in the princess and the queen."

My stomach twisted.

More footsteps echoed.

Several guards entered the room.

And between them…

I saw familiar faces.

Nathan.

Carlos.

Miguel.

Hannah.

They were being held by Kaiser's men.

All of them were conscious.

Fighting slightly against the guards.

But then…

My eyes froze.

Jay.

She was being carried by Dylan .

Her body hung limp.

Her mask still covered her face.

Blood slowly trickled down from her forehead.

Keifer's chair scraped violently across the floor as he tried to move.

"JAY!"

The room went silent.

And Kaiser…

Just smiled.

"Welcome to my game."
