Vervain hurts/weakens vampires.
Vamps strength is dependent on which generation of vamps they received it from; the farther the source form the original, the weaker they are, and strength increases negligibly between closer generations.
Doppelgangers appear sporadically down the bloodline, but always appear when their line is near its end.
New Doppelganger power supersedes old. Vamp's doppelganger ability is diluted.
Siphon witches – are abominations, magically created witches that were made wrong and need magic to survive. Kai survives because he's in a magically rich community; he won't last outside of it. His father, desperate for an heir, created him, but learned of his mistake too late. The sister was a happy surprise. They merge magics into one, not people into each other???
WEREWOLVES – are from a failed curse; the venom was originally meant to create more, but failed, and now it's passed through birth.
OR werewolves were created to hunt vampires, other witches answer to the vampire problem, to try and wipe them out.
REASON HOMES need invitations – is because a natural magical barrier is formed, keeping out other harmful magic when someone dwells in a place long enough and gives the care it deserves, so those who don't, don't receive this safety net.
