Black Castle.
Lord Commander Mormont watched Jon Snow pouring him hot water and asked, "Riding at night must be tiring, right?"
Jon was startled and opened his mouth to explain.
Mormont waved his hand. "Calm down, calm down. If I killed every Night's Watchman who tried to run away in the middle of the night, there would probably only be ghosts guarding the Wall now."
"They killed my father," Jon wanted to clarify.
Mormont told him to put Ned's matter aside quickly.
They had more important things to deal with soon. The White Walkers have been appearing continuously for a while now, and the number of those blue-eyed corpses is increasing.
Lord Commander Mormont stood up and said, "You went through recruit training here, you've seen the Wall, and even now, do you still think your brother's war is more important than ours?
When the White Walkers truly return, do you think it will matter who sits on the Iron Throne?
Tomorrow we're going north beyond the Wall, so you and your wolf get ready. I don't intend to sit here and wait to die."
Jon was shaken.
Lord Commander Mormont's words completely dispelled all his concerns.Jon Snow clenched his fist, ready to follow the Night's Watch to fight a war of his own.
Fuck!
When an Ironborn merchant ship ran aground on the shallow beach, the moment it was stranded.
As he watched the Ironborn swarm off the ship and onto the sandy beach of the fishing village's port territory.
A system notification sounded in Lynn's ear.
Ding!
[Triggered a side quest for the troop-building system: Eliminate 100 wights, reward: Commander's Boots!]
Commander's Boots - Greatly increase commander's movement speed (for fleeing after defeat)
Ding!Triggered the main quest of the troop spawning system: Personally kill 1 White Walker, reward: Silver Bull Command Horn!
Silver Bull Command Horn - The loud horn sound can slightly increase the morale of the legion.
Clearly, the Ironborn have landed, yet the system has given these two side/main quest prompts about White Walkers.
What's going on?
Lynn was stunned for a moment, his eyes filled with suspicion.
However, he quickly guessed what was probably happening.
A flash of suspicion in his eyes, which instantly turned as cold as ice.
In his sight.Lynn watched the sailors scrambling down the ship and wading ashore, their steps disordered and frantic.
They kept looking back in terror, not at all like they were preparing for a desperate attack on the fishing village's harbor castle.
It was more like they were terrified of something on the ship.
Thinking back to the situation when the first sailboat docked,
Lynn became even more certain that something was amiss.
No need to guess further.
Soon, Lynn saw it too, a scene similar to what Harry Kane had seen at sea.Two strangely moving but exceptionally swift humanoid mummified corpses poked their heads out from inside the sailboat's railing, grabbed an ironborn sailor preparing to jump ship, dragged him back onto the ship's deck, and disappeared behind the railing.
A moment later, more than a dozen mummified corpses surged onto the edge of the deck.
They stood on top of the railing, unleashing wild and shrill roars at the backs of the ironborn fleeing towards the shore through the water.
Lynn felt a chill run down his spine.
Those things were clearly blue-eyed ghoul monsters.
Damn it, there are ghouls on the Iron Islands trade caravan's ship.
"This is not good."Lynn clenched his fist, remembering the system task.
He cursed inwardly, the biggest BUG in Game of Thrones had appeared in his territory. The Night's Watch at the Wall hadn't even fallen, so why were blue-eyed wights appearing in the North? Judging by the task prompt, it seemed even the White Walkers were mixed in.
Son of a bitch, good thing those monsters were afraid of water and trapped on the ship.
The scene before him completely shocked and angered Lynn. He had originally planned to wait for Rodart to return with reinforcements, use the captured pirate treasure to summon a wave of system soldiers in the city, and then smoothly end the battle.
But now, he couldn't remain calm at all.In a flash, he thought about the possibility that the ironborn ship docked at the pier might also have a group of wights or a White Walker trapped in its hold.
If it were to escape and make it ashore, that would be a very bad situation.
White Walkers are mysterious and vicious creatures from the perpetual winter lands beyond the Wall, tall and gaunt, with pale skin and deep, ice-blue eyes.
The most terrifying thing about them is their ability to turn the dead, whether human or animal, into wights, that is, animated corpses.Wights have blue eyes similar to White Walkers and are controlled by them, serving as their main fighting force.
This is equivalent to a zombie boss in the apocalypse, a terrifying being capable of turning those it bites into wights.
Lynn swallowed hard as he saw Rodarte's pirate ship on the distant sea getting closer and closer.
He hurriedly shouted to the attendant beside him, "Prepare the horses."
It seems he has to go to sea himself to mass-produce troops.
Guard Hood was not far away, arranging the task of guarding the city walls. Hearing the commotion, he jogged over.
"Lord."Lynn didn't waste any time and ordered directly, "Arrange for four guards with good swimming skills to come with me. I need to go from the ferry at the Baylands to the Rodarte ship at sea."
"Yes, sir."
Hood was surprised at first, then nodded.
He knew something must have happened.
But seeing the lord's somewhat grim face, he wisely didn't ask anything and urged his men to prepare the carriage and warhorses according to Lynn's instructions.
Soon, everything was ready.Lynn boarded the carriage, waiting for the city gates to slowly open. Finally, he solemnly said to Hood, the head of the guards, "No matter what happens outside, do not open the city gates."
Bayland was a deep-water area of a reef on the right side of the fishing village port city. Large ships could not dock there, but small fishing boats and small fishing boats that were not afraid of running aground usually docked there.
Under the guard of his attendants, Lynn quickly arrived at Bayland.
He chose a faster boat, ordered the attendants to abandon their heavy armor on the spot, and row at full speed. The attendants rustled as they unbuckled their belts and weapons on the shore. Lynn, sitting in the small boat, was a mess of thoughts.
"Two more longships are weighing anchor and heading towards the coastline!"
An attendant shouted.
The atmosphere on the small boat instantly became heavy.
The small boat rowed from the bay where it was moored by the sea into the ocean.
At this moment, Lynn's mind calmed down. He pointed to Rodarte's pirate ship breaking through the waves from the south and encouraged in a deep voice, "Don't worry, victory will belong to us."
The small boat successfully made contact with the pirate ship.
"Master!"Rodarte watched Lynn climb up the rope ladder and gave a respectful salute.
Lynn nodded and said to the attendants in the small boat behind him, "You go back first and have Hood hold the fishing village port city walls."
Rodarte led Lynn into the cabin.
Surrounded by a group of Xiaoqi Regiment system soldiers who were only loyal to him, Lynn finally felt safe.
The sudden appearance of the ghouls caught him off guard.
He was a little flustered for a moment.
At this moment, he watched Rodarte open two treasure chests.
One chest was full of glittering gold dragons, and the other was a mixture of silver stags, copper coins, jewelry, and other items.Instantly caught the eye.
A huge weight lifted from Lynn's heart.
With the troop-producing system and the golden dragon, he had endless confidence.
"Bang."
Lynn slammed the treasure chest containing the golden dragon shut, watching the golden dragon disappear from sight.
A series of pleasant system prompts followed closely behind.
