Chapter 17 - Acupoint Sealing

Hearing this, the old man not only failed to get angry, but burst out laughing instead, his hoarse laughter carrying a hint of madness.

Yet at that exact moment, Jason suddenly felt that something was terribly wrong.

Years of accumulated combat experience were screaming warnings in his head.

Danger was closing in.

In an instant, the thick coat on the old man's body was riddled with holes.

From within, dozens, no, hundreds, of bullets erupted wildly from his chest.

The old man's arms were not amputated at all.

They had been hidden inside his coat, each hand gripping a fully loaded Uzi.

A torrential rain of bullets poured out, shaking the air violently.

Jason immediately evaded, his body moving continuously, his trajectory changing in ways that defied belief.

The bullet storm was dense, yet not a single round managed to touch him.

Seeing this, the crowd behind them fell into panic and fled in all directions, screams echoing everywhere.

Amid the chaos, Max did not retreat.

He was unwilling to let such a perfect opportunity slip away.

Lowering his body, Max quietly approached the young master from behind, step by step.

On the other side, Jason began to feel the pressure.

He truly couldn't get close to the old man.

As soon as the old man emptied the magazine in his right-hand gun, he immediately switched to the left.

At the same time, using only one hand, he reloaded the other gun with practiced ease.

Jason couldn't help but curse inwardly.

If not for that promise he made years ago to never use guns again, how would this old man ever have the right to show off here?

As time dragged on, fear began to creep into the old man's heart as well.

He hadn't expected the man in front of him to be not only fast, but to possess stamina so outrageously high.

His arms were starting to ache.

Yet Jason's speed didn't slow down, if anything, it increased.

Jason had no intention of withdrawing from the battlefield.

He was merely dodging bullets.

That alone proved one thing: today, he absolutely would not let that young master go.

Grinding his teeth, the old man suddenly tossed both Uzis aside.

Then he pulled out a metal rod, pointing it straight at Jason.

Seeing this, Jason let out a cold laugh.

He accelerated, charging straight toward the old man.

"Old bastard, you couldn't beat me even with guns, and you dare fight me up close?"

"You're courting death."

The distance between them closed rapidly.

Just as Jason got close enough, the old man suddenly slammed the back of the rod.

A dry, sharp bang rang out.

A bullet shot out from the tip of the rod at an astonishing speed.

The distance was too close.

Jason couldn't dodge completely.

He only managed to shift his body slightly to avoid a vital spot.

BANG.

The bullet slammed straight into Jason's thigh.

Blood sprayed out.

But even at that moment, Jason still managed to throw a punch.

A punch carrying all his strength and killing intent.

The old man hurriedly crossed his arms in an X-shape, taking the blow head-on.

His body was flung backward more than ten steps, and he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood.

Yet his eyes, fixed on Jason, carried a look of triumph.

The injury slowed Jason's movements.

When he looked up, he saw two gun barrels aimed straight at him.

The young master, who moments ago had been so scared he nearly wet himself and almost knelt down.

Had now regained his confidence, standing up and laughing provocatively.

"Haha, brat."

"Didn't expect you to fall for Young Master's trick so easily, did you?"

"Thanks to my act of pretending to be weak, you dared to let your guard down."

Hearing this, the old man who had just beaten Jason was so moved he almost wanted to drop his pants and flick the young master's junk on the spot.

In the end, he restrained himself.

"Jason, oh Jason."

"This day next year will be your death anniversary."

"As for your sister, I'll play with her until she's pregnant."

"Then throw her away like a piece of trash."

Jason ground his teeth until they creaked.

His eyes burned red with fury.

"Bastard."

"You can mess with me."

"But if you dare touch my family."

"I will definitely kill you."

The young master threw his head back and laughed loudly, looking at Jason with utter contempt.

"Kill me?"

"Haha, you should worry about yourself first."

"In this situation, who could possibly save you?"

"I can save him."

A calm voice rang out.

The young master jolted and turned his head.

"Huh? Who the hell are y."

BANG.

Before he could finish his sentence, his legs were swept out from under him and he rolled across the ground like a clown.

The two remaining bodyguards didn't even have time to react before the guns in their hands were snatched away.

The one holding the guns now was Max.

He raised the gun, aiming it straight at the young master.

"You wanna know who I am?"

"I'm your daddy."

The voice was sharp and domineering, yet no one dared to refute it.

The old man immediately spoke up in warning.

"Young man, I don't know who you are, but you should give me some."

He didn't even finish his sentence.

BANG.

Blood immediately poured from between the young master's legs.

A shrill, agonized scream echoed through the air.

"Say one more word and try me."

"The next bullet goes into his head."

Max declared coldly.

He turned to Jason and gestured for him to come over.

Jason didn't know who the man in front of him was.

But the fact that this man had stepped in to save him was enough.

Jason clenched his teeth and, step by painful step, walked toward Max.

The old man dared not act rashly now, afraid Max would make a move on the young master.

But suddenly, Max pressed several times on the young master's body.

The movements resembled acupoint sealing.

"Young man, what are you doing to him?"

"I sealed his acupoints."

"I linked his life to mine."

"If my heart stops beating, he'll die with me."

Hearing this, the old man was so furious he laughed.

"You think I'm stupid enough to believe such nonsense?"

"I'm pretty sure you are stupid."

"If you don't believe it, go ahead and try shooting me."

"But you should know what you're betting with."

Seeing Max's arrogant attitude, the old man became even more hesitant to act.

Better safe than sorry.

What if what he said was true?

Could he really kill the son of an old benefactor with his own hands?

In the end, the old man snorted coldly.

"You can go."

Hearing that, Max casually tossed the gun aside.

He turned his head and spoke naturally to Jason.

"Let's go."

After the two sides disappeared from each other's sight, Jason leaned closer to Max.

"That acupoint thing… linking lives."

"Was that real?"

Max looked at him with a strange expression, as if staring at an idiot.

"Hey."

"I thought only that old man was stupid."

"Turns out you're stupid too."
