Chapter 11: The Birth of Madness
The story begins from where it last ended.
The goblin monster spoke,
"Humans again… interesting. This will be even more fun."
Navi's teammates were trembling in fear, but Navi himself stood still.
He couldn't even move.
What is happening to me? Navi thought.
Navi:
"I should do something… but I can't use my power in front of them. If I do, all my power will be revealed.
Why do I feel so strange? Why is my heartbeat so fast?
No… no… no… this can't be happening. Please not now.
If it comes out now, everyone will be killed.
Is my second personality coming out?"
Navi:
"I must control myself."
The monster slowly walked forward.
A creepy smile appeared on its face as it activated a skill.
Even an S-rank hunter who looked into its eyes would fall under its control.
As soon as Navi's team members looked into its eyes, they were all enslaved.
Only Navi was left untouched—because he never looked into the monster's eyes.
The monster said,
"Come with me. I invite you to play the game of death."
It turned around and began walking toward its king.
From behind, loud laughter echoed.
The monster suddenly stopped.
"Who is this that is not under my control?"
It saw Navi covering his mouth and laughing like a madman.
After a long time, he had found such a chance.
The monster said,
"Looks like fear has driven him insane."
Navi kept laughing, hand over his mouth.
He was no longer in control of himself.
His eyes turned blood-red.
Because the Ring's power was sealed, no red aura appeared—only his eyes burned crimson.
Madness Navi:
"Invite me too… to your game of death."
As he spoke, he looked terrifying.
Monster (thinking):
"His power feels weak… but my six senses are screaming—run, or you will die.
I never felt this fear even before my king.
Maybe it's just an illusion."
The monster said aloud,
"You are not worthy to join that game."
The goblin smiled again.
Writer's Note:
This was the monster's greatest and final mistake.
Never hurt the ego of a madman.
Now it would learn how painful death truly was.
The moment Navi heard this, his creepy smile vanished.
The monster had no time to react.
BOOM!
A powerful punch smashed into its face.
The monster flew backward, its teeth shattering.
"You dare!" the monster shouted.
Navi did not let it speak.
Another full-powered punch.
He slammed the monster into one wall… then another.
Its body was already broken.
The monster trembled violently.
It tried to beg for mercy—
Navi gave it no chance.
CRACK!
He broke its arm.
The cave filled with the monster's screams.
So loud that even outside the gate, they could be heard.
Outside the Gate
Guild Leader Johan heard the screams.
"That's a monster's voice… what is happening inside for a monster to scream like that?
This is the first time."
He thought,
"Is the monster coming out?"
Johan ordered everyone to prepare.
At that moment, someone approached him.
When Johan turned around, he said,
"Welcome, Sky Guild Leader. Thanks for coming to support us."
The Sky Guild Leader asked,
"How long has the monster been screaming?"
Johan replied,
"Two hours."
The Sky Guild Leader's eyes widened.
"Which means inside… two days have passed."
Everyone was shocked.
Suddenly, the screaming stopped.
Inside the Gate
It was revealed that Navi had been torturing the monster for the past two days.
The cave was in ruins.
Blood of green goblins was scattered everywhere.
The monster lay broken.
Navi had already shattered its arm.
With a creepy smile, Navi said,
"Am I still not worthy?"
The monster replied in fear,
"Y-You are more than worthy."
It thought,
They call us monsters… but the real monster is him.
He has been humiliating me for days.
Madness Navi:
"Your skill is amazing.
So useful… my teammates are still under your control."
He stepped closer, smiling darkly.
"I have a job for you.
Only you can do this."
The monster trembled.
"What… what job?"
Madness Navi looked at him with a terrifying smile…
