Chapter 12 – The Monster's Demand
Our story begins from where it left off.
Navi:
He had beaten the monster badly.
Outside the Gate
Sky Guild and Tiger Guild were ready to fight together, so a large number of hunters had gathered there.
At the Gate, a monster was seen coming out.
It was a Goblin, and everyone could feel its green-colored aura.
Goblin:
"Weak humans."
It was holding a human head in its hand, making it look even more terrifying.
Hunters:
Everyone got ready to fight.
The hunters said,
"Its size is huge. Compared to it, we look small and weak."
The weaker hunters could not even stand due to the pressure of its power.
Tiger Guild Leader stepped forward angrily and said,
"The people who went inside… did you kill them all?"
Goblin Monster (with a creepy smile):
"Some are still alive."
The monster threw a human head at the Guild Leader's feet.
Everyone was shocked — it was the head of a Tiger Guild hunter named Arrow.
Guild Leader:
He became furious and was about to attack.
Monster:
"I have brought a message from my Lord."
"You can exchange the remaining hunters.
This is an offer for you."
The Guild Leader stopped.
Guild Leader:
"What is the message?"
Monster:
"If you want the humans who are still alive,
then you must give us one thing in return."
Guild Leader:
"What do you want?"
Monster:
"We want this…"
What the monster demanded was not revealed.
Monster:
"You have one day to think."
The monster left.
The Guild Leader sat there sadly.
News
Everywhere, it was announced that for the first time in history, a Gate had opened and instead of fighting, the monster had made a demand.
What was demanded was known only to the Tiger Guild Leader.
The news spread across the entire country and even reached other nations.
SSS-rank hunters from different countries began coming to the place where the Gate had opened.
Inside the Gate
The MC was seen saying,
"Keep all of them under your control.
If these humans go out of control, I will kill you."
Monster:
"Yes… yes…"
Navi:
"Okay, I will heal you."
Navi healed the monster back to its previous state.
Monster (in its mind):
"What kind of human is this…
He doesn't let me die, and he doesn't let me live."
"Take me to your Lord.
I want to fight him."
(Creepy smile 😁)
Monster:
"Once you take me to my Lord,
then I will show you what I can do."
The monster got ready to show the way.
After walking some distance, they encountered another monster.
It was the same monster that had appeared outside the Gate earlier.
Second Monster:
"General, why are you here?"
General Monster:
"The Lord gave me work outside for the humans.
What are you doing here?"
"I saw these weak humans and was playing with them."
Navi stood quietly behind them.
"They are speaking in monster language. I can't understand anything…
It feels like they might betray me.
The second monster looks powerful."
Second Monster (mind-to-mind):
"There is a powerful human hidden among them.
He beat me badly."
General Monster:
He turned back and released a huge amount of power.
The monster beside him fell to the ground.
Navi's companions collapsed under the pressure and fainted.
Navi:
He stood there with a creepy smile.
The power did not affect him much.
General Monster:
"How amazing…
You are still standing in front of me."
"There must be something special about you."
Navi:
He looked upward.
"I feel like someone is watching me…
It's a strange feeling, like I am in danger.
As if someone has targeted me."
Monster:
"Why are you looking somewhere else and ignoring me?
Are you scared?"
Navi kept looking upward.
Universe Scene
Two giant eyes were watching Navi…
Then they disappeared.
