"Onii-chan!~"

Sasuke, who had been crouching by the main gate, immediately rushed forward excitedly when he saw his brother's figure appear.

During this period, Naruto had been tormenting him at the Ninja Academy, so Sasuke planned to complain to his brother the moment he saw him. He also wanted to ask his brother—who carried the title of Genius Ninja—to guide his training so he could return to school, defeat Naruto, and reclaim his own glory.

However, his brother, who usually greeted him with a warm, doting hug whenever he rushed over like this, did not embrace him this time. Instead, he pressed a finger against Sasuke's forehead, stopping him in place, and looked at him with a tired expression.

"Sorry, Sasuke," he said softly. "Your brother is a bit tired today and can't play with you. Please forgive me."

After speaking, he left without looking back, under Sasuke's astonished gaze.

"How was it?"

By the river, Jiraiya sat on the back of a large toad and looked down at Naruto as he asked, "How do you feel after your first time training with Shadow Clones?"

"Feelings?" Naruto tilted his head and pondered for a moment before replying, "It feels… very tiring. Both physically and mentally."

"That's natural," Jiraiya said with a slight smile. "Shadow Clones are different from other clones. It's a Ninjutsu that creates physical entities. In other words, a clone created by the Shadow Clone Jutsu is equivalent to temporarily splitting off a part of yourself.

"This leads to a special effect: when a Shadow Clone is dispelled, all of its experiences and memories are transferred back to the original body.

"Because of this, Shadow Clones are often used for infiltration and intelligence gathering… Do you understand now?"

"???"

Naruto's eyes became incredibly clear after hearing the explanation. He tilted his head again and said, "I think I understand a little, but can you explain it more simply?"

"…"

Jiraiya immediately knew Naruto hadn't understood at all. He rephrased his explanation.

"Think of a Shadow Clone as another you. Every additional clone means your training speed doubles. Can you understand it that way?"

"Oh, I see!" Naruto suddenly lit up. "Then if I make a hundred clones, won't I have a hundred times the training speed?"

"Theoretically, yes," Jiraiya nodded. "But Shadow Clones consume a huge amount of Chakra. That's not a problem for you—but when a large number of clones dispel at the same time, their memories all return at once. That puts an enormous burden on your brain.

"When you trained with a hundred clones earlier and passed out, it wasn't just Chakra exhaustion. Your brain couldn't process a hundred streams of memory at the same time.

"So if you use Shadow Clones for training, you must proceed gradually. Otherwise, you could seriously damage your brain."

Jiraiya wasn't exaggerating. Repeated memory overload in a short period of time could permanently injure the brain.

"I understand," Naruto nodded seriously. "Then how many clones should I use for training to make sure I don't hurt my brain?"

"That…" Jiraiya thought for a moment. "You're still young. For now, don't exceed ten clones per session, and keep each session under one hour."

"Ten clones, one hour." Naruto nodded firmly. "Got it!"

"This limit can gradually increase as you grow older," Jiraiya added.

"Understood." Naruto nodded again, then asked eagerly, "What Ninjutsu are we training next?"

Now that Chakra control training was complete and he had learned the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, Naruto was full of anticipation.

"Hehe, the next one is the real highlight," Jiraiya said with a grin as he opened the Book of Seals."This technique was developed by the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama, and later brought to its peak by the Fourth Hokage—your father—in the form of the Flying Thunder God Technique."

"Wait!"

Naruto suddenly interrupted him. His eyes widened as he stared at Jiraiya.

"What did you just say? My father is the Fourth Hokage?"

"That's right…" Jiraiya nodded, then frowned when he saw Naruto's reaction. "You didn't know?"

Jiraiya knew Naruto, as a Jinchūriki, received special treatment in the Village—but he hadn't expected even the identity of the boy's parents to be concealed.

He still didn't know that Hiruzen Sarutobi had not only hidden Naruto's lineage but had allowed the villagers to label him a Demon Fox, leaving him isolated and friendless.

If Jiraiya had known, he wasn't sure what he would have felt.

"I didn't know," Naruto said quietly.

Then his expression suddenly brightened.

"So my father is the Fourth Hokage—the hero of the Village!"

Although Naruto no longer cared much about being called the Demon Fox, the thought that he was the son of a hero still made his chest swell with emotion.

For a brief moment, he wanted to shout it to everyone who had cursed him.

He wasn't a calamity.

He was the son of a hero.

But that feeling faded just as quickly.

Because Naruto suddenly realized that… it didn't really matter that much.

Training was more fun.

He sighed softly, then looked back at Jiraiya with renewed enthusiasm.

"Toad Boss, let's start training the new Ninjutsu!"

"Alright," Jiraiya said gently, guilt washing over him as his tone softened."I'll teach you the Flying Thunder God Technique—the Ninjutsu your father was most famous for."

"Mm-hm!~"Naruto nodded eagerly and listened intently as Jiraiya explained the prerequisites for learning the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Unlike the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu, which could be learned quickly with sufficient Chakra, the Flying Thunder God Technique involved space-time theory and advanced Sealing Techniques.

And for Naruto, those concepts were like a book written in an incomprehensible language—completely beyond his understanding.
