Thump!

Naruto, who had been sitting cross-legged on the surface of the hot spring with his eyes closed, practicing chakra extraction for several hours, suddenly fell into the spring.

"Ow, hot, hot, hot!" Naruto yelled as he jumped out of the water, instantly wide awake.

That's right—he hadn't fallen in because his chakra ran out during training; he fell in because the training was so boring that he dozed off.

Shaking off the water droplets, Naruto returned to the surface and sat cross-legged again, continuing his training.

From his smooth movements, it was clear that this situation had happened more than once.

Beside him, Jiraiya—who was peeking at the women's bath next door—heard Naruto's cry of pain and turned to look at him. Seeing Naruto sitting back on the water's surface with his chakra still incredibly abundant and showing no signs of weakening, Jiraiya's eye twitched slightly.

His original intention in having Naruto do this training was to gauge the bottom line of his chakra reserves, while also teaching him how to allocate chakra reasonably and train precise chakra control.

But now it seemed Naruto's chakra had no bottom line at all. With such an almost inexhaustible amount of chakra, there was no need to worry about allocation.

As for precision… this kid could maintain sitting on water while still sneaking in a nap. If the training continued any longer, chakra control at this level would probably become instinctive for him.

What a monster of a kid… Jiraiya sighed inwardly, then said, "Naruto, that's enough."

"???"

Naruto, sitting cross-legged on the water, turned to look at Jiraiya in confusion.

"I'm talking about the training," Jiraiya clarified.

He sat down, picked up the Book of Seals beside him, and continued, "This training isn't meaningful for you anymore. You can start ninjutsu training now."

It had already been three days.

Naruto's chakra showed no sign of running out at all. Continuing this exercise was pointless.

"Yay!" Naruto shouted, immediately jumping up from the water and landing in front of Jiraiya. His eyes locked onto the Book of Seals as he asked eagerly, "Toad Boss, are you finally going to teach me the ninjutsu inside it?"

Naruto clearly remembered Jiraiya saying that the Book of Seals contained extremely powerful techniques. That was why he hadn't hesitated to accept the test and sneak into the Hokage Office.

When Naruto first obtained the Book of Seals, he tried to peek inside, but it was locked and couldn't be opened. Now, he could finally learn.

"Hm, but we need to change locations first," Jiraiya said.

Because Naruto's allowance had already run out, they didn't continue training at the hot spring inn and instead moved to a river in the wilderness.

By the river—

Jiraiya formed hand seals, unsealed the Book of Seals, and opened it. Inside were only two ninjutsu: the Flying Thunder God Technique and the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu…

Jiraiya glanced at the scroll and recalled what Hiruzen Sarutobi had said on Hokage Rock. A faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Originally, he had only asked for the Flying Thunder God Technique. The inclusion of the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu was clearly Hiruzen's "surprise" for Naruto—and it truly suited someone with Naruto's explosive chakra reserves.

"Come here," Jiraiya said, beckoning Naruto. "Out of the techniques recorded here, only two are suitable for you. I'll teach you the first one now—the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu."

"Multiple… Shadow Clone?" Naruto knelt obediently in front of him and looked curiously at the scroll.

Naruto had heard of the Shadow Clone Jutsu before and knew it was an advanced version of the Clone Technique, but he had never heard of the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Jiraiya explained its effects, and Naruto immediately understood.

This was a super-enhanced version of the Shadow Clone Jutsu. According to Jiraiya, it was perfectly suited for Naruto.

The hand seal was simple—only one—but the chakra consumption was massive. Ordinary ninja couldn't withstand it, which was why it was classified as an A-rank technique.

But for Naruto, this limitation barely existed.

Learning it was no harder than learning the basic Clone Technique.

"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Naruto formed the hand seal and shouted. Instantly, bursts of white smoke filled the area as figures appeared around him—over a hundred clones in total.

"Oh!"

"I learned it!"

"This is too easy!"

"I really am a genius!"

Over a hundred Narutos spoke at once, each with their own thoughts, chattering like ducks in a meeting and making the veins on Jiraiya's forehead bulge.

"Shut up!" Jiraiya roared.

All the Narutos immediately fell silent.

With a dark expression, Jiraiya said, "Since you made so many clones on your first try, maintain that number and continue water-walking chakra extraction until your chakra runs out."

He refused to believe that a hundredfold consumption wouldn't exhaust this kid.

"Oh!" Naruto replied obediently.

All the clones moved onto the river's surface and resumed training.

More than a hundred Narutos sitting cross-legged on the water, nearly filling the river, formed a truly spectacular sight.

An hour later—

Bang!

One of Naruto's clones suddenly turned into white smoke and disappeared. Immediately afterward, the rest followed in a chain reaction.

Finally, Naruto's main body blacked out, fell forward, and sank into the river.

Croak!

On the riverbank, a toad shot out its tongue, wrapped it around Naruto, and tossed him onto the ground in front of Jiraiya.

Finally… it's all used up.

Jiraiya looked at Naruto, unconscious from chakra exhaustion, feeling an indescribable sense of relief—followed immediately by helplessness.

Over a hundred clones, lasting for a full hour… and only then did his chakra run out.

This level of chakra could no longer be measured by common sense.

If Naruto could one day control the Nine-Tails' chakra, master his father's Flying Thunder God Technique, combine it with a body capable of producing Wind-style techniques comparable to C-rank with bare hands, and his terrifying learning speed…

Jiraiya didn't dare imagine how far this child would go.
