Bella's POV
The following day, I made my way to visit Ursula.
When I arrived, Lucky was nestled in Ursula's arms, drinking his milk.
After days of rest and proper care, Lucky looked far more lively.
The moment I stepped through the doorway, Lucky's tail started wagging frantically, clearly delighted to see me.
"Bella, you're here!" Ursula's face lit up as she beckoned me closer. "Come quickly, see how much stronger Lucky has gotten."
Ursula looked radiant, her cheeks flushed with healthy color.
Relief washed over me at the sight.
I sat down next to Ursula and began playing with Lucky. The little pup responded by licking my hand with his tiny tongue, his tail wagging even faster.
Ursula's laughter grew warmer at the sight. "This little one is truly thankful," she said with affection. "He knows you rescued him, and this is how he shows his gratitude, Bella."
I smiled and ran my fingers through Lucky's soft fur.
Without warning, Ursula caught my wrist.
