Chapter 1 - End and begining

END AND BEGINNING

Mark wasn't expecting anything special in the 35th year of his life.

He was still a virgin. Poor. Ordinary.

No miracle…

No redemption for regrets…

No second chance.

It was raining. The asphalt gleamed. A half-finished song played in his ears, and he hummed it without realizing. He had just gotten off work and was walking home. The only thing on his mind was what he would eat for dinner.

Too tired, he failed to pay attention to his surroundings.

In the final seconds, all he heard was a horn and saw a white flash that burned into his eyes.

Truck-kun was on the job.

As his body was thrown into the air, time slowed. More than pain, he felt emptiness. As his breath was stolen away, the last thought that crossed his mind was:

"So this is how it ends."

DARKNESS

Silence.

No pain…

No body…

No time.

Mark wanted to open his eyes, but he had none. He waited for a voice. God… an angel… hell…

None came.

Then—

[SYSTEM INITIALIZING]

A cold, mechanical yet precise voice cut through the darkness.

[World transfer: Successful]

[Target world: My Hero Academia]

Mark's consciousness wavered for a moment.

Reincarnation?

Was this real… or just a joke?

He had watched anime. Heroes, Quirks, U.A., All Might…

He knew them all.

[Reincarnation complete]

Cold air struck his face.

A crying sound.

His own.

Mark inhaled reflexively. His lungs burned. He was trapped inside a small, fragile body. He opened his eyes, blurred and unfocused. The ceiling was white. The walls were old.

An orphanage.

Other babies were crying beside him. Adult voices—panic, fatigue, chaos…

That was when he realized it.

This was not a dream.

Years passed quickly.

In this world, Mark had no one.

No mother.

No father.

In the orphanage records, there was only a single line:

"The sole survivor of the battlefield."

But Mark was not alone.

Because every night, before he fell asleep, the same window appeared in his mind.

He was weak in the orphanage. Small. Invisible to everyone.

But Mark was patient.

Because in his previous life, he had learned one thing:

Power does not come in a hurry.
