Chapter 19 - X

"But still, I have advantage. Because I can see you better than you can sense me."

But the confident smile in Bruno's face didn't turn low, rather it became more curved. He took position to rush forward. His put his right leg in back of the left.

But, suddenly, he felt, a weight on his shoulder. He looked on his right side, it was a hand.

A shadow slowly started to become clear in Bruno's eyes. It was Marco.

"I don't think captain gave you the permission to make it this far."

Bruno felt a very strong force in his soul, not on his body. His body fall on the ground.

"Huh! I think it was too heavy for you. What a weakling!"

Marco looked at Izochi.

"Why aren't you falling?"

Unlike other times of their conversation, Marco was using a low tone. His voice itself felt that of a devil's.

Izochi left behind his fighting positioning. Stood straight. And pointed at Marco with left hand,

"Because you are the one weaker among us."

"Good point though."

Marco thought of something for a short period of time.

"I guess you should give this fight up. Because your opponent is already down. Meaning, there is no meaning of fighting with me."

"I think you are right. But you interfered and stopped the duel. So, it's a guilt and you are guilty."

"Huh? Okay, but that doesn't matter. Have your duel next time."

Marco picked up Bruno's body. And started to walk back.

"Hey, wait. Isn't my sword broken because of you shits? What will you give me now?"

Marco seemed a little confused.

"Hmmm. That's really a important issue. I will discuss it with captain. But till then, go unarmed."

Izochi didn't like the answer.

"You are really reckless."

Izochi turned back and started to the city. His body was already damaged enough to disrupt his usual walking, but there were not fatal injuries. His breaths were so deep in his heart. He could even feel the bits of it without touching.

"He was right. I am also a weakling. I can't even stand long enough in a duel. Then how am I going to stand still in future?"

Saying all of it, his eyes were calculating his possible future steps. It was a little different.

His black hairs were shining with the silver light of the moon. And it was surrounded by millions of stars, maybe even billions. It was a scenario that suggested as if they all were trying to console the little boy under their great shadows.

Izochi went on, and his footsteps were left past on the sand.

He raised his head, it was already the sun introducing itself to the land.

"Now it's time for me to tell lies."

His body was barely moving, exhausted by staying all night awake. Found his place to the front door of the merciful man's house. But he was already waiting for him.

"Where were you present for the entire night? And you don't look clean like before.?"

"To somewhere close and far."

"That doesn't matter. You look really exhausted. Go take a shower first."

"Um, do you have any change of clothes?"

His eyes were a little red. Red spines spread. Yet he requested so gently, and with a carefree smile.

"I hope are."

On the other side of the vast map of it, it looked like an interrogation.

"You are already up."-

It was Marco sitting beside the just conscious fighter.

"Where am... Oh! It's you."

But Marco wasn't enough of it. He started to shout,

"What do you mean by 'it's you'? You piece of shit went to an all-out battle with your teammate and forced him to go raged. Do you not have any interest in your life? You really want to die this quick. If so, I can give you a way sound death."

"What do you mean by it?"

Marco's voice had turned into full of guilt,

"You have no chance against him. It's more like fighting an opponent, even after the outcome is obvious."

Bruno got questioned,

"You mean he was holding back. If so, then I will obviously make him all out."

Marco turned out the topic,

"Now the issue is you are mainly responsible for an duel not permissioned. And the most important, you are also responsible for dusting a purified weapon."

Bruno tried to protect his self,

"Meaning you are also responsible for these, alongside me. And also that boy."

It was clearly a relieved smile and eyes. But not his seniors,

"You piece of shit."

"I am not a 'piece of shit'"- shouted.

"You are."

"I am not."

"You are."

"You."

A man entered the small room. His face was all straight. No facial expressions at all, totally inhuman.

Marco stood up, for showing up respect. Got himself to the side,

"Sorry for all this, captain."

"You don't have to be."

He looked at Bruno, making him freaked out,

"But you seem not to love your life. If you do, forget your duel. And you also have to answer me once we return."

Note:

14. There is only 1 way of formally slaying a Spirit, Engima or Fallen. And that is to use 'Purified Weapons'. The action of slaying is called 'Purification'.

15. There is a special ritual performed to purify a weapon or anything. The 'Light' Chronicle is the only Chronicle which's users are able to perform this ritual.

The Error Chronicle centers on the exploitation of loopholes, the manipulation of logic, and the parasitic nature of existence. It is a path that thrives on deception and the subversion of established laws.

Class 6: Glitch, They can cause minor deviations or "glitches" in the common rules of reality—for example, shifting their position by a few inches or slightly altering the trajectory of an attack. This is a power akin to minor tampering with space, confusing enemies during combat.
