Night fell over a dark alley in the heart of Metrocity. A woman was seen running at full speed while clutching a small metal box tightly to her chest. Her breath was ragged, her steps hurried, and her eyes kept glancing back.
Three men dressed entirely in black charged after her. The sound of their footsteps echoed loudly through the narrow alley.
Suddenly, one of the men leaped high into the air and landed right in front of her, blocking her path.
the man:"give me the box, now!! if you hand it over, no one has to get hurt"
the woman:"hmmm.. what if i don't want to give it?"
the man:"you're really asking for trouble! get her!!"
All three men rushed toward her. But the woman fought back. With swift movements, she delivered a sharp kick straight to the wrist of one of the men, causing him to stumble back.
Another man tried to throw a punch at her, but she managed to deflect it easily. In the blink of an eye, two of the three men collapsed onto the alley floor, while the last one staggered backward from her counterattack.
However, just as the woman was about to escape, the same man managed to strike her wrist. The metal box slipped from her grip and slid into the darkness of the alley.
The woman gasped in shock. She quickly turned around, searching desperately for the box—but it was gone.
the man:"Hmph, looks like you failed too, hahahahah"
Before the woman could chase after it, all three men fled toward the main road and disappeared into the shadows of the night. She looked down at the watch on her wrist. The screen displayed the box's location—then suddenly, the signal vanished.
the woman:"how can this happen!? how did the box's signal disappear!!! i'm done forrrrr?"
She bit her lip in frustration. She searched the area again, but the box was nowhere to be found. With a heavy heart, she finally left the alley.
Meanwhile, beside a trash bin near the alley, a small silver box lay quietly. On its side was the word SPEKTRA, with a single letter A engraved in the center. There was also a circular symbol with four thin lines, each glowing in a different color.

The next day
The sound of an alarm clock rang loudly inside a house. A young man woke up groggily, rubbing his eyes before looking at the clock—it read 7:00 a.m.
The young man was Khairul, who had woken up earlier than usual. He got ready quickly, slung his bag over his shoulder, and left the house. After putting on his shoes, he began walking toward school.
Along the way, he took a route he rarely used.
khairul:"hmm... i've never gone this way before"
He glanced at the watch on his wrist. 7:20 a.m.
khairul:"still plenty of time before the school gate closes.... guess i can go this way"
After a few steps, something caught his attention near a trash bin. A small metal box.
khairul:"eh... what is this.. a nice-looking box too... looks like a watch box, taking it shouldn't be a problem, right"
Khairul examined the box carefully. Its surface gleamed softly, covered in strange text and symbols.
khairul:"SPE..K..TR..A.. what name is this? is it a brand?? and what's this symbol... and why is there an A in the middle... hmmm??"
Without thinking much, he put the box into his bag and continued on his way to school. That day, Khairul arrived earlier than usual.
As he stepped into the school grounds, someone called out to him from behind.
Elysa:"wow, you're early today, not like you"
khairul:"it's my choice, is it wrong if i come early?"
Elysa:"no lah, i'm just saying"
khairul:"hmm.. even when i come early you still make noise"
Elysa:"i'm not making noise... shrimp brain!"
khairul:"don't you have anything better to do!? always trying to start a fight!"
Elysa:"why! not satisfied, huh?"
Before the argument could go further, Mr. Faqrol, their history teacher, approached from the school gate.
mr. faqrol:"enough, enough! you two are always fighting, even early in the morning"
Elysa:"okay, sir"
khairul:"okay sir... i'll head to class first. i don't like staying too long with a tiger here!"
Elysa:"what do you mean by that!!"
Khairul smiled slightly and walked into the classroom, leaving Elysa behind with an annoyed expression.
Inside the classroom, Fairul, Khairul's best friend, suddenly tapped his shoulder from behind.
fairul:"hey, how was last night? fun or not? hahahah!!"
khairul:"you're really something"
fairul:"hehhh... don't get mad, i'm just joking. hey, have you played that super agent game i showed you yesterday?"
khairul:"not yet, i had to finish my homework"
fairul:"no worries, i'll download the game for you later"
khairul:"niceee, you're really my bro"
Kringggg!!!
The bell rang, signaling the start of class. Mr. Faqrol entered the classroom together with Elysa. Elysa glanced at Khairul, but he simply returned a small smile. The history lesson went on as usual.
Some time later—
Kringggg!!!
The recess bell rang. Khairul and Fairul went to the cafeteria to fill their stomachs. After buying food, they sat at a table while Fairul downloaded Super Agent onto Khairul's tablet.
After the bell rang again, they returned to class and continued lessons until the end of the school day.
Kringggg!!!
The final bell rang. Khairul walked out with Fairul. Not long after, Fairul's mother's car arrived to pick him up.
fairul:"i'm heading off, bro. don't forget to play super agent, i already downloaded it"
khairul:"okay... don't worry"
Fairul laughed and waved as he left. Khairul then continued walking toward Suka Maju Supermarket to buy bread and instant food for dinner.
Suddenly, someone tapped his shoulder from behind. Khairul turned around in shock.
khairul:"un.. uncle hairul!??"
Uncle Hairul:"khai! you've grown so much"
khairul:"wow... it's been a long time, uncle"
Uncle Hairul:"yeah, really long"
khairul:"what are you doing here, uncle?"
Uncle Hairul:"nothing much, just walking around. i also wanted to see you, it's been a while"
khairul:"it's okay uncle, i'm heading to suka maju supermarket first"
Uncle Hairul:"that's fine, i'll come along, just for a walk"
Uncle Hairul smiled. But in his hand, his phone displayed a digital map with a blinking red dot—and that signal was coming from Khairul.
The two of them walked together toward Suka Maju Supermarket.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Khairul and Uncle Hairul walked together toward Suka Maju Supermarket. Along the way, they chatted animatedly, laughing softly until they arrived in front of the store.
Khairul went straight inside and picked up some bread and a few cooking ingredients for his dinner. But as he was choosing items, Uncle Hairul spoke in a slightly serious tone.
Uncle Hairul: "Khai, did you take something that doesn't belong to you?"Khairul: "Um…"
Khairul suddenly remembered the metal box he had found earlier that morning.
Khairul: "Yeah… why?"Uncle Hairul: "Can Uncle see it?"
Khairul took the metal box out of his bag and showed it to Uncle Hairul.
Khairul: "This…"Uncle Hairul: "Khai!! You're in big trouble."
Uncle Hairul said this while shaking Khairul by the shoulders, making Khairul ask anxiously,
Khairul: "Why?"
Before Uncle Hairul could answer, two men suddenly entered the supermarket with suspicious behavior. Both of them immediately looked toward Khairul and Uncle Hairul. Uncle Hairul quickly turned to Khairul, his face tense.
Uncle Hairul: "Khai, get out of here quietly. Use the back door."
Still confused, Khairul nodded slowly. But before he could get far, the two men shoved a shelf, causing it to topple over and crash onto Uncle Hairul.
Khairul: "Uncle!"
Uncle Hairul groaned in pain but managed to shout loudly,
Uncle Hairul: "Khai! Go! Don't let them get that box!"
Still in shock, Khairul ran out through the back door of the supermarket. One of the men chased after him while the other stayed behind to restrain Uncle Hairul.
Khairul sprinted through the narrow alley behind the building. His breath was ragged, but he didn't stop. He glanced back and saw the man getting closer. Spotting the building beside him, Khairul jumped onto the wall and quickly climbed up onto the roof. The man followed him.
Now both of them were on the rooftop. Khairul tried to leap to the next building to escape, but the man jumped in front of him and threw a powerful punch.
Khairul managed to block it, but his body slid backward slightly.
Khairul: "Not bad…"
Man: "Heh… let's see how long you can last."Khairul: "Alright, let's go."
The man charged forward, throwing a series of fast punches at Khairul. Khairul blocked two of them, but the rest landed, sending waves of pain through his body and making it hard to move. He felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Even so, Khairul endured. He countered with a kick to the man's leg, knocking him to the ground.
Taking advantage of the moment, Khairul tried to escape. But the man pulled something from his jacket and threw it—a thin needle that struck Khairul's right shoulder.
Khairul's body stiffened instantly. His vision blurred, his steps faltered, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Several hours later…
Inside an abandoned, rundown building, Khairul was seen tied to a pillar. Standing in front of him were four people—two dressed in black, a man named K, and a woman called J. They noticed that Khairul had regained consciousness.
J: "Oh… you're awake."K: "Looks like SPEKTRA is training young agents now."J: "Seems so. How old are you, kid? Thirteen?"
Khairul: "Who are you people?"
K: "Who are we? Hmm… you really want to know?"
Khairul: "Uh…"
Khairul swallowed hard as he waited for K's answer.
K: "We're the ones who'll take your life!"
Suddenly, J grabbed the metal box from Khairul's bag and showed it to K.
J: "K, look at this… bingo."K: "Good. Let's get out of here before—"
A rough voice suddenly echoed from behind them.
Uncle Hairul: "Well… looks like that box belongs to me. Thanks for finding it. Saved me the trouble."
K: "I knew it…"J: "Enough talk. Attack him!"
Uncle Hairul attacked without hesitation, using only his bare hands. Two of the four fell within seconds. Uncle Hairul smiled faintly.
Uncle Hairul: "That's all you've got?"
He rushed over to Khairul and freed him from the ropes.
Uncle Hairul: "Khai, get out of here, now!"Khairul: "It's okay, Uncle. I can help!"Uncle Hairul: "You're not strong enough, Khai! If you stay, you'll just be a burden!"
Khairul fell silent. All he could do was watch Uncle Hairul fight J and K at the same time. Even though Uncle Hairul was strong, their attacks were gradually overwhelming him.
Khairul clenched his fists. Uncle Hairul's words echoed in his ears: You're not strong enough, Khai.
Then his gaze shifted to the metal box. He ran toward it.
J: "Don't let him touch the box!"
J tried to stop him, but Uncle Hairul blocked her with a powerful punch.
Uncle Hairul: "Where do you think you're going?"J: "You're really asking for death!"
As they fought, Khairul opened the box. Inside was only a square-shaped piece of metal. He stared at it in confusion.
Suddenly, the metal glowed and turned into a silvery liquid, flowing up onto his hand and stopping at his wrist. Instantly, an unbearable pain surged through his entire arm.
Khairul: "What is this… it hurts!! It hurts… aahhh!"
Uncle Hairul was shocked when he saw what Khairul had done.
Uncle Hairul: "Khairul! What did you do?! Why did you activate that thing?!"
The device vibrated, and a soft electronic voice was heard:
???: "Activation successful. Temporary form selection procedure initiated. User is in pain and unable to respond… automatic selection in progress. Watch form confirmed."
Khairul felt as if his hand was burning, and he screamed in agony.
Khairul: "It hurts… what is this?! Aahhh… it hurts!!"
The process continued, and the voice spoke again:
???: "User name registration. Please state your name."
Even while enduring the pain, Khairul answered.
Khairul: "Kha… Khai… it hurts!! Aahh!"
???: "Response received. Hello, Master Khai."
Confused, Khairul muttered,
Khairul: "What is this thing…?"
???: "I am A.R.I.A. — Adapting Reactive Intelligence Assistant. Synchronization complete. Would you like to enter Combat Mode?"
Khairul: "If it can stop this pain… then do it!"
A.R.I.A.: "Command accepted. Combat Mode activated."
A blinding blue light burst from the watch. In an instant, a pair of digital glasses formed over Khairul's eyes. The pain vanished. His body felt light. Streams of data and analysis flowed across his vision.
Suddenly, J and K attacked him together—but this time, Khairul effortlessly blocked every strike. Their movements looked slow to him. He countered with five rapid punches in succession, slamming into their stomachs and sending both of them flying backward.
Seeing his new strength, Khairul spoke calmly,
Khairul: "That's it? You're really weak."
J: "Don't get cocky! You're only strong because of that thing!"
Khairul smirked and mocked her,
Khairul: "If you're weak, then you're weak. Don't make excuses."
The taunt enraged J.
J: "You're asking to die!!!"
She attacked again, but Uncle Hairul stepped in and blocked her.
Uncle Hairul: "Did you forget I'm still here?"
J glanced at K, who was staggering while clutching his chest. The veins on his neck changed color—he had been poisoned. Realizing this, they decided to retreat.
J: "We have to withdraw."Uncle Hairul: "You think you can just run?"
J threw a small crystal onto the floor—BOOM! A flash of light exploded, filling the area. When the smoke cleared, both of them were gone.
Uncle Hairul clicked his tongue in frustration.
Uncle Hairul: "Tch… they got away! But it's fine… are you okay, Khai… Khai…?"
Khairul slowly turned his head, his face pale. His body swayed, and he collapsed unconscious. Uncle Hairul rushed forward and caught him as he fell. The device reverted back into the form of a watch.
Uncle Hairul: "Looks like A.R.I.A… really is your destiny. And… hmm…"
