After finalizing the details for the Spirit Power Collection Project with Ju Zi, Kong Mingan finished the preliminary plan. Ju Zi suggested that they should start the project in the Tianhun Empire first. This made a lot of sense because the Mingmeng Chamber of Commerce had become very powerful there over the last two years.
Since they had already integrated so much into the empire, there would not be much resistance from the people or the government. Also, if anything went wrong during the pilot phase, it would be much easier to fix things there than in a brand-new region.
The Imperial Family of the Tianhun Empire had originally brought in the Body Sect and the Mingmeng Chamber of Commerce because they wanted more strength to keep the country stable. However, they never expected that Poison Undying and his entire Sect would decide to work so closely with the Mingmeng Chamber of Commerce.
Because of this, the control of the economy and several important Domains within the Tianhun Empire had slowly changed hands. Even though the country was getting much stronger, the leaders realized they were no longer in full control. They were now stuck on Kong Mingan's ship, whether they liked it or not.
Ju Zi pushed up her glasses and looked thoughtful for a moment. She was the Vice President of the Chamber and acted as a secretary for the young man sitting across from her. She had spent enough time around him to understand how he thought.
A look of understanding crossed her face as she nodded. She said that coordinating the whole plan would take some time, but she could get it done in about a month. She also promised that she would personally give him a progress report every single month.
Kong Mingan was fine with that plan. He trusted her to handle the details. However, the Ice Empress was sitting on the edge of the desk, looking bored and swinging her legs. She narrowed her golden eyes and looked at Ju Zi.
She felt like Ju Zi had put a lot of emphasis on the word personally, and she didn't like the sound of it. The Ice Empress had a very sharp intuition about these kinds of things. Kong Mingan didn't notice anything wrong. He just told Ju Zi that he trusted her work and that she should go at her own pace. Then, he stood up to leave.
He told Ju Zi that they were leaving because he had other things to do. Ju Zi bowed respectfully and watched them go. Kong Mingan noticed that the Ice Empress was distracted and wasn't following him like she usually did.
He stopped and called out her name. She snapped out of it and shook her twin tails, looking a bit guilty for being caught daydreaming. She asked what was wrong, and Kong Mingan told her that she was the one who needed to explain what she was doing. He told her it was time to go and walked out the door.
The Ice Empress looked frustrated, but she jumped off the table and ran to catch up with him. She called him a bastard and told him to wait for her. Ju Zi watched them walk away and smiled a little bit, but then she sighed quietly in the empty office.
She felt a little bit jealous of their relationship. Meanwhile, out in the corridor, Kong Mingan was walking calmly. The Ice Empress caught up and started complaining about how fast he was walking. She asked why he couldn't just wait for her.
Kong Mingan looked at her and said that she wasn't the Snow Empress, so he didn't see a reason to wait. The Ice Empress was stunned. She was so angry that she started gritting her teeth. She didn't know if she should be mad because he was being mean to her, or if she should be happy because he treated the Snow Empress so well.
This proved that the Snow Empress had chosen a good partner. She bit her lip and felt a strange sense of sadness in her heart. She glared at him with her golden eyes and then looked down, feeling conflicted.
Kong Mingan saw her looking upset and smiled. He slowed down his walking speed so she could keep up more easily. He told her to stop arguing with herself because they had serious work to do. The Ice Empress gave him an annoyed look and decided to blame all of her weird feelings on him. She took a deep breath and tried to look cold and serious again. She asked him what they were going to do next. Kong Mingan told her that they were going to get a room first.
The Ice Empress stopped moving and crossed her arms in front of her chest. She looked very defensive and asked if he was finally going to try something funny with her. Kong Mingan just stared at her.
He felt like she was actually looking forward to it, which was confusing. A moment later, they were inside an empty cultivation room. The Ice Empress was still acting a bit wary as Kong Mingan sat down on a sofa. He got comfortable and then summoned his Spirit Rings.
His Spirit Rings were black, black, red, and red. This was a very strange setup for a Spirit Ancestor. Usually, people at level forty don't have red rings. In just two years, his level had gone from the twenties to the forties. He was almost a Spirit King now.
This fast growth was because of his special guidance system. The two red Spirit Rings were actually artificial ones that he made using a special method he learned from Electrolux.
Kong Mingan focused his mind, and one of the red Spirit Rings began to glow. The spirit power moved around and started to take a new shape. Soon, an energy body appeared that looked just like Kong Mingan. This was an incarnation technique that Electrolux had created. It used a Spirit Ring as a base and could follow instructions to help in a fight.
If someone had nine rings, they could turn them all into incarnations and fight as a team of ten. Kong Mingan had changed the technique so he could control the incarnation even from a very long distance.
The Ice Empress looked at the energy double and asked what they were doing again. Kong Mingan told her they were catching bugs. She didn't understand what he meant by that, but he told her she would see soon.
He held out his hand and asked if she wanted to go with him. She looked at his hand for a second to make sure it wasn't a trick. Then, she grabbed it firmly and said they should go. Kong Mingan smiled and used his other red Spirit Ring to create another incarnation. This one looked exactly like a smaller version of the Ice Empress.
As they held hands, the Ice Empress felt her spirit power and mental force start to mix with his. It was a very strange feeling. It felt like their minds were connected. She felt like she could sense everything about him.
Her body went stiff for a moment, and she stayed quiet. Kong Mingan closed his eyes and said it was time to go. Suddenly, the two energy incarnations disappeared into a ripple in space and vanished from the room.
