White on Black

A story about a bastard child who tries to become a little better with each passing day. He walks upon a corrupted land, learning—slowly and painfully—what it means to be human among humans. Alios Aurelius is not a chosen one. He is merely a boy who refuses to become a scoundrel like most others. Despite the way society treats him, he chooses not to harbor hatred. Or rather, he constantly struggles to keep his heart from being consumed by it. But in a world long rotten by its own system, kindness is not something that can be preserved easily.
