"Okay did you happen to see a teenage black, smallish, all bloodied and covered in bandages come in here a few seconds ago?"
"Oh yes, I do."
"Where is he please?!"
"His was sent to the fourth floor and put in the 3rd room to your front."
"Thank you so much!"
Oliver and Dave thanked in unison as they then ran into the halls and disappeared from the nurse's sight.
Thud! Thud! thud!
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Numerous thunderous steps echoed in the stairs and halls of what seemed to look like a hospital as we see numerous men, women and even children. Whether clad in uniform or operating dress, or casual clothes roamed around as two boys: Oliver and Dave sprinted in these places that had people who were also moving at steady and vigorous paces.
Though the only real difference between Oliver and Dave and the rest was.... While everyone moved in panic, worry, sorrow, faint joy, or even in tears. So did these boy who eyes leaked faint glitters of tears that flew away as fast as they dropped as they ran with monstrous speeds.
You see the indifference was between them and the rest were....
Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud!
Screee!
"We're coming Al."
Their tears and their energy....
Thud, thud, thud, thud!
Were all laced withs deep profound happiness that this was all over and that...
Thud, thud, thud!
Knock, Knock!
Their friend would be fine, but...
Scrrrrr, Bam!
"HAAAAAAH!"
It seems like reality and fate had other plans in store for Alex.
"Hah, Heh, Hah, Heh, Hah, Heh!"
'What the what?'
A confused Alex woke in the midst of...
"Darkness.... again!"
Alex exclaimed as he stood and looked around.
Step!
He then took a step forward and... it felt normal. No eerie echo, no unexpected splash, not even there being no sound was felt.
Step!
He took another step forward with no sense of direction yet his motivation to do so was even taller than a mountain itself.
Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step! Step!
Step!
For a while, Alex had wondered, twisted and turned, searching and groaning in annoyance as he wondered about in what seemed to like an endless dark void.
At a point as Alex wondered, he paused and sat down as a deep confusion soaked itself into his face as he wondered, "Wait a minute, how am I not tired yet?"
He pondered as he recurred to his previous experiences as he realized one simple indifference from the past.
This place felt...
"Limited."
And yet it also strangely felt...
"Comforting. This place feels way to right to be in though he had wondered in for such a long time."
His stamina was stable, his appetite was peaked, his brain was relaxed and so was his body.
Confused by all this a look of pure annoyance and deep confusion crossed upon his face.
He wondered and wondered and wondered for a very long while until it him.
His eyes shot open as he then closed them slowly and slowly and slowly until closed shut and...
"HA-HEH!" A gasp escaped his lips as he saw something that nearly scared him out of his mind.
But what?
What could have possibly frightened the young lad?
Well, it was something that he didn't ever expect to see until he woke up in the real or somewhere back in Omek's domain.
This is seen by all in everyday life, it is a necessity of our everyday lives yet taken ever so lightly.
And this what was it again?
He mused as he got and started walking as he called out the words, "Light?"
Yes, it was light. Something ever so common needed and yet pushed aside like a minor concern to someone was what made his heartbeat.
Ba-dum, Ba-dum!
His blood race.
Bulge! Bulge!
His breath stammer.
"Ha-hah... hah-ah-ah!"
His legs burst forward.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
And his voice monstrously shrill as he roared, "LIIIIIIIGHT!"
"OH, SWEET JOYOUS LIGHT!"
He said as he then suddenly began prancing and skipping about and rapidly as he jubilated so.
"DADDY"S COMiiiiiiIIING!"
He ran and skipped and ran and skipped and ran again and again and again but....
Step, step!
He came to a pause a harsh and vexing realization hit him once more.
No matter how fast he ran or how long he skipped... he had grown no closer to the singular point of light that shone in this endless void.
"Hah...."
He sighed as he then sat down once more as he opened his eyes and looked forward and in them nothing reflected,
Not light.
Not darkness.
But a deep nothing that felt like it stretched endlessly so.
Alex's head but he was not sad, angry or disappointed.
He did not want to think move or say anything right now as he then wondered against his will, "Ha... just... how long have I been I been here?"
He uttered the question from his mouth out of a will that he did not bear. It felt like he was being controlled of somewhat and then other questions started buzzing.
In his mind. Slowly by slowly. Louder and louder, they got as they began to...
"Uggghhhhh!"
Torture him form the inside.
His mind felt clear in fact it was clear, fresh and fine also but yet...\
What felt... is what he didn't want to feel.
"UHHH!"
He screamed as began to tug at his hair fiercely.
"UHHHH!"
He added as he bent down while tugging at his hair even more now.
"UHHHHH!"
Once more as he began to feel something run down from head.
"Huh?"
Drip!
"Ha-ha-"
He breath cracked.
"Blood.... blood but whose is-"
Drip!
Another drop of blood fell and coercly interrrupted him.
Drip!
Drip!
"Ha-ha."
Drip!
"Ha...."
"Ha-ha.... my... blood.... its-"
He said as his hands dropped to the ground and deep twisted horror flashed upon his face now.
"AHHHHHH! MY BLOOOOD! WHYYY?!"
He screamed a shrill and horrifying scream as then threw himself on the floor and began rolling from his left to his right.
He rolled and screamed and went and screamed and then he ran again.
He closed and thought, 'M-Maybe if I just run far or long e-enough I could... finally be free right?'
He thought as then began to laugh.
"Haha."
As he began skipping again but with a grace like never before.
"Ahahaha."
He laughed profoundly as he skipped and then started humming while he did so.
"Ho ho ho."
He laughed as the grace that he skipped with began transforming into a rapid and violent succession of...
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
Footsteps.
That followed one after the other. Each louder the last. Each more desperate than the last.
He saw the light.
It looked pure.
It looked whole.
It looked welcoming.
And worst of all it looked...
Thu- crack!
"Astonishing."
Alex mummured to himself as he suddenly felt himself and the world around drop.
POUT!
"Ha-ah-ha."
His voice cracked.
"Ah-h-h-hah."
His body trembled. Not from exhaustion, but from the one thing he also thought that could be able to touch him here....
"AH-AH-AH-AH!"
He struggled as he then slowly and painfully sat upright and looked at feet.
And his left foot...
His big toe and sadly the most unfortunate.
"Haaaaaah!"
A piece of something once whole and strong. Can break and still latch onto its being and promise to stay there.
Never speaking.
Never acting.
Never making a pip.... so that the new whole could never be bothered with having to worry about the old bit of it and yet in some situations...
"AHHHHHHH! WHY!"
"WHY ME HUH?!"
"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVEE ALONE ALREADY?!"
"LEAVE ME ALONE PAIN!"
Pain.... something he thought would also be nullified by this place, this emptiness, darkness with no beginning or end to it, would be its greatest power.
"Hic!"
"Ah ha ha, hic hic ah...." Alex sobbed a high pitched and dread cry.
POUT!
He fell onto his back lay flat on the ground as he struggled to keep with his a new sensation. That made his blood quiver.
Shhkshhk!
"Huh?"

"What why am I-ahhh ouch?!"

"Huh? Ah..."

Alex mused and panicked as he suddenly felt something else that should have been nullified here.
And it was...
"An itch?"
Shhkshhk!
"W-why am I itching?"
Shhkshhk!
He was itching. And yet when the itch came and he scratched... and even worse one came in retaliation.
He then scratched.

And scratched.

And scratched.

Until...
Wrrrrriipp!
His shirt tore.

"Aha-aha,hic. HIC!"
Alex wanted to roll and cry and scream and curse out and end all of this agony he fell right now but all he could do with a body that felt as normal as healthy man's but was a wrong as a crime.
Without noticing much, Alex had scratched and scratched to the point the his body bled from multiple cuts and that his shirt and vest had been turned into shreds that hang from his waist.
"Hahaha. Ah ha ha ha."
"This place... this feeling... this dream if I may call it that.... hah... heh.... hahh... heh... hah... heh... hah."
He said as he paused and steadily caught his breath.
He opened his mouth as weakly uttered, "This... is the kind irony.... mom likes... not m-me."
He finished as he then closed his eyelids and two small yet heavy tears fell from his eyes.
.....
Fwooooo.
Doooouuuuf!
A gentle breeze and a warm flash hit his face not long after.
He opened his eyes and stretched his hands out to something that glowed a ghostly yellow light in his face.
And he uttered, "L-l.... light", with a hint of joy in his tone as he smiled and cried as held something that changed his entire being... literally.
An orb one that glowed a pale yellow and was streaked with soft floral patterns and surface that was seemingly made of a soft fluffy substance.
Swu, swu, swu, swu, swu, swu, swu...
Faint glow and hollow yet bright lights glittered in the sky as for what Alex what saw in his eyes.
Shocked him and delighted him all... at the same time.
