Alright, guys, that's it for today." Class has ended, and I quietly pack my things in my bag, trying to sneak out of the classroom.
"Park..." I freeze in fear. My teacher noticed me trying to leave.
"Oh... haha, I forgot." I try to play it off as if I forgot, but who was I kidding? My teacher was as sharp as a hawk.
"Hehe, good luck, Park." Myung Ji-yoo sends me her regards as she leaves the classroom. I take a deep sigh, expecting to be chewed out by a formidable woman. I've heard rumors in school that over 50 students dropped her class—not because the work was hard, but because of her. She's not the woman to mess with.
"Park, let's have a quick talk." I gulp after she says that.
"Y-Yes, ma'am." I stand right in front of her. She stares at me with a deadly glare, and sweat drips down my face.
"Park, do you know why I'm so nice to you?" she asks.
"Nice to me?" I question her statement, as if she's crazy. She's never been nice to anyone.
"Yes, nice to you, Park. I like you because of how kind you are." Honestly, that makes me blush a little.
"Thank you, Professor," I say while scratching my head. I was expecting a scolding from her.
"Look, your grade in class is decent, but you can do better if you show up on time, Park." I feel like my mom is scolding me.
"Yes, I know, but I can't help it, you know." I gave a gloomy look as she said that. I honestly can't help it when someone is struggling, it's like a condition I got from birth. Back home, my dad and I were the only males, so I helped out a lot. I mainly help the chefs in my town, they always reward me with money, but I never take it, and I always say.
"Helping people doesn't come with a price."
That was my motto when I was a kid.
"Park, look I know it's hard but sometimes it's okay to just walk away." The teacher gave me advice that I'll probably won't do but she is right you can't just help people all the time and put yourself last.
"Okay, Professor." I expressed my gratitude.
"Alright, now get going and show up on time from now on." I was about to leave, but before I did, I turned around to her.
"You know Professor you're really kind." After my unexpected compliment, the teacher was blushing a little.
"Y-You damn womanizer, get out of my classroom brat!" I quickly hurried out, I guess my compliment angered her.
After my scolding, I gave the small bowel and left the classroom. I walked to the lounge in the school noticing Myung Ji-yoo talking to her friends. I was watching from a distance, she turned her eyes towards me, noticing me, and after that she waved her Friends goodbye running towards me.
"Hayo~" She greeted me. "I'm surprised she didn't rip you to shreds, Park."
"Well, I guess Professor has a soft spot for me."
"Heh, I guess so."
We both walk through the lounge, heading towards the school cafeteria. We made our way to a table and sat down.
"Should we get some food Park?" Myung asks.
"Yeah, sure," I responded. We sat there for a couple of seconds I was on my phone, not paying attention, and Myung just stared at me. I noticed a stare, and I asked her.
"Is there a problem?" I ask wondering why she's staring at me.
"Go get the food." She looked at me with a blank smile.
"Huh? Why should I get it?" I said in bafflement.
"Well… you're the man so go get it, Park." I looked at her completely puzzled by her response.
"Is that unfair since you asked me if I wanted food, Myung?"
"Aww~ what's wrong, Park? You don't want to help me out. You help everybody else except for me? That's kind of preposterous. Don't you think?"
When she wants her way, she uses my own ideology against me. I hate it when she does it though.
"Ok ok, I'll get the food." I got it from my seat.
"Thank you Park, you're the best, and make sure you get me, Katsu okay."
I took a deep sigh and walked towards the rest of the line. I waited patiently while people were moving right in front of me.
(What should I get?) There are multiple options on the table. dishes like.
Kimchi.
Pork Tofu.
Udon and ramen.
Curry and even dakgalbi.
(Maybe I should get the Curry, I really enjoyed Miss Choi's Curry.)
It was my turn and I asked the person behind the counter for the meals. I got the Curry and Katsu, and heading my way to Myung.
Unexpectedly, I turned my head to the right, and out of nowhere somebody bumped into me, I almost dropped the food from my hands.
(Ah, close call.) I thought.
"Hey, are you all rig—" before I was able to finish, the person who bumped into me was familiar.
Long blond hair with a red streak, multiple different piercings on both ears, and the one thing I'm most familiar with.
"Ah, Park Jun-lee." I recognize her voice instantly.
"Han Na-ri?" I was perplexed, why is she here at my school?
"Wow, this is crazy, this feels like fate. Right Park?" She smiled at me without a care in the world.
I was still baffle of the current circumstances going on right now. There is no way she is going to my college. I was hoping that I would only see her at work.
She continued to look at me with a bubbling grin. I was still lost in thought, and the one question that kept popping in my head over and over again was.
Why the hell is she here?
