"There's food left. And there's soup in that pot in the corner."
During the next half hour, Rai got ready in silence. He packed his lunch, had a quick breakfast, and carefully avoided the living room.
Avoided Zade.
They only crossed paths again when Rai was about to leave.
"Soup?" Zade raised an eyebrow, throwing himself lazily onto the now-clean sofa as if he owned the place. "What's the special occasion?"
"Vegetables were about to go bad," Rai replied flatly, slipping on his shoes.
He didn't spare Zade a glance. Instead, he moved quickly, almost too quickly, as if staying even a second longer would irritate him further.
He didn't want to talk to him.
And that only made him more annoyed.
What frustrated him the most was that he wasn't even sure who he was actually angry at. So he wasn't in a good mood today either.
As he was walking to he school,
"Good morning."
Rai stopped abruptly.
Blocking his path was one of the girls who had come to visit the other day. Again.
