The next morning, Gohan's clone arrived at school early.
"Gohan… did you read that letter yesterday?" Erasa asked softly.
"I did."
"Then… what's your answer?"
Gohan's clone glanced at Videl, who was clearly pretending not to listen while secretly paying close attention. He smiled faintly and said, "I'll tell you after class, alright?"
"After class?"
"Yes."
"Okay."
Hearing this, Videl stopped eavesdropping, but her heart felt uneasy.
An hour later, class ended.
Gohan's clone stepped outside with Erasa.
Videl pretended to head to the restroom, deliberately passing by them.
Gohan noticed her and gave a faint smile.
Videl's heart skipped a beat.
"Videl!" Erasa called out.
"I'm just going to the restroom," Videl said quickly before walking off.
Erasa turned back to Gohan. "So, what's your decision?"
"Thank you for your feelings, but you're not my type."
Erasa looked disappointed. "Then what kind of girl do you like? Someone like Videl?"
"I like someone who knows martial arts and is gentle and considerate," Gohan replied calmly.
"Videl knows martial arts, but gentle and considerate? I'm not sure about that. So do you like her or not?"
"We're about to have class," Gohan said with a small smile.
"Gohan, just tell me. I promise I won't tell Videl."
Gohan clearly didn't believe that promise. He turned and walked back into the classroom.
Two days passed in a blink.
It was now the weekend, and Videl arrived at Mount Paozu early to train.
"Videl," Lagss greeted her.
She nodded.
"Master received a letter a few days ago. He wouldn't let me see it."
"A letter?" Videl asked carefully.
"Yes. Do you know what it was?"
"It was a love letter."
"A love letter?" Lagss looked shocked.
"Master has received several lately," Videl added.
"Several? Does that mean I'm about to have a new master's wife?"
"I don't know. He hasn't accepted any of them."
"That's good. A few years ago, a golden-haired older sister came looking for Master. He said she was his wife."
"A golden-haired older sister?"
"Yes. She could use Flight and was tall with a great figure."
Videl fell silent.
A week passed.
On Mount Paozu, Gohan stood on the grass, checking his battle power.

Battle Power: 2.1 Trillion
The World Martial Arts Tournament was only two weeks away, and since it would be held in West City, Videl had applied for leave to focus on training.
At that moment, she stood on the grass and shouted, "Kaio-ken!"
A red aura burst from her body.
"Kaio-ken times two!"
Just then, a figure descended from the sky.
It was Vegeta.
"Uncle Vegeta," Gohan greeted.
Vegeta nodded. "Where's your father?"
"He's on King Kai's Planet."
"Still there? When will he return?"
"Probably this evening."
"Call him back now. I want a decisive battle."
"A decisive battle?"
"Seven years ago, our fight was interrupted by Kakarot's heart virus. Today, I'm settling it."
"I'll go get him."
Gohan used Instant Transmission and arrived on King Kai's Planet.
"Dad, Uncle Vegeta wants to fight you."
"A fight? I'm still training. Maybe another day?"
"You should tell him yourself."
Goku nodded and used Instant Transmission to return to Earth, with Gohan following.
"Kakarot!" Vegeta called out.
"Vegeta, Gohan told me. I'm in the middle of training. How about another day?"
"Hmph. Training can wait. We settle this today."
Goku paused, then smiled. "Alright."
Videl and the others immediately stopped training.
"Hah!"
Vegeta clenched his fists, and a powerful aura erupted from his body. He transformed into Super Saiyan, then pushed further into Super Saiyan 2.
Lightning crackled around him.
Goku followed, transforming into Super Saiyan 2 as well.
"Shall we begin, Kakarot?" Vegeta smirked.
"Let's go."
Vegeta dashed forward instantly.
Their fists collided at lightning speed.
Bang bang bang!!
They exchanged blows rapidly, dust rising around them as shockwaves spread across the ground.
Suddenly, Vegeta's right fist shot forward and struck Goku, sending him sliding backward.
