-Aurelian Salvatore:

I couldn't take my eyes off him.

Elias looked different like that—curled into his nest, flushed, damp with sweat, surrounded by fabric that all smelled like Sebastian. I had never looked at him this way before. Not really. Not with that strange pull tightening in my chest, not with the sudden, irrational urge to step forward, to cross the threshold of the walk-in closet and sink beside him. My feet actually shifted before my mind caught up, instinct tugging me forward like gravity.

Then Elias told us to get out.

I didn't hesitate.
