Conrad entered the valley and went down for some time.
After about fifteen minutes he stopped and used his "En" for a moment and then inspected everything around him.
When he was first creating the ability of Blink, his "en" range was only about twenty meters.
Now that his capability as a nen user increased leaps and bounds from that time, his en had a diameter of one hundred meters.
A five-time increase in such a short time is only possible because he kept on fighting and put himself in the dangerous battles against nen users. In the end, the best training any new user can do is to be in a battle where there is a chance of dying in the end.
The fear of death is the best training.
"In this valley, the spores are not that much, which makes it easier to breathe and easier to use nen to defend myself from the poison itself."
After using En, Conrad found several caves that are not too deep and okay for him.
He needed to see it with his own eyes to understand if there is any difference in air quality inside of these caves.
At this stage, for completing the first creation condition. He needs to spend one month here, and that would be it.
But of course, as a hunter at this point and curious individual, he wanted to research and understand more about the general area.
It would also be pretty great if he were to encounter and have a chance to see a viridian lizard with his own eyes.
"I should go and check the caves." Conrad said and then moved. If he were to stop and think about all of the things that come to his mind, he could not take any action.
Seven minutes later, he passed several caves and found one that was great for him.
The total area was about 25 m², and the cave inside only had the same amount of poisonous cloud spores as the midpart of the area.
"Okay."
"This place will do it for now."
"Now, I want to place several obelisks all around my general area."
Conrad wanted to place an obelisk for three reasons.
First, he wanted to catch if anything enters his obelisk, such as a viridian lizard; second, he wanted to know if there are any other animals living in such an environment and if he is capable of eating them.
He has biscuits and water with him that would be enough for him for the duration of one month, but it is never not needed to research and understand more about a new environment that is an entrance-level dark continent area in his mind.
The third is to not get lost; as long as Obelisks are active, he can always understand where he stands and where he needs to go to leave the valley without much of a problem.
It never hurts to know and have more information about the general surrounding area.
He started moving and started placing the obelisks. One hour later, he came back to the cave, which he named "Cave Of Life" in his mind to make it sound cooler, and then sat down cross-legged.
He took a sip from his water and ate some protein snacks and biscuits. After he felt he was filled, he made a flick with his hand, and three orbs left his robe from under him and started levitating.
"I can use orbs to safely search the area."
"With Obelisk, I have a pretty great deal of area to explore."
"If I see something interesting, I can go there myself."
"With this, I would be making my contact with the cloud of poison less and less safe."
"I don't need to go out all the time."
"As long as I am here and inside of this cave, the poison still affects me; that should be great enough for the Creational Condition 1."
Conrad controlled the orbs and then let them fly while he closed his eyes and started looking around to find if there was anything interesting.
While he controlled himself, he noticed something amiss in his control and general status with his orbs.
"They are slower and less effective in this environment."
"Also, I can feel that the orbs themselves do take damage; it is negligible, and still, they are taking environmental damage."
"The aura needed to control them is also higher, which proves more of the point that there is something, intelligent or not, organic or not; there is definitely something inside of this area that is capable of controlling and interacting with the nen."
"Such a nen control capacity and effective range suggest that it is some sort of an environmental ability; if this is also caused by whatever that nen-controlling being is, it also has a connection to the Transmuter category."
"The possibilities are endless..."
Conrad felt a sharp pain strike his head.
If he were to think about how a being capable of affecting a whole location with their aura causes everything around them, the answers would be endless because of the aura capacity of such a being.
Everything that needs to be completed would be pretty easy as long as the applications of Aura are known to the user of it.
Even Meruem would not have such an amount of aura that is capable of affecting such a big range of environments.
"I can only think one other being may have such an aura."
"It is 'Alluka' and the Dark Continent creature 'AI' inside of her."
"That maybe the most impressive feat of nen that I saw in the whole series."
"But..."
Conrad let out a deep breath.
"AI is a proper known and documented dark-continent creature."
"Viridian Poison and this general area are just a mysterious region, not even a creature."
"Who knows, maybe there is a creature that causes the "Viridian Poison" region to form in the first place."
As Conrad thought about these, his heartbeat got faster and faster; he wanted to know more and explore more, uncover the secrets, and find the answers to his questions.
While he was thinking, he noticed a monkey-and-lizard-like creature looking at one of his orbs.
"Is that a creature of some sort?" Conrad asked himself, and then the creature shook his head and showed him two fingers pointing out to some cave, and then the creature entered the cave.
"Is he inviting me?" Conrad asked and did not know what to do for sure.
