"I Came Into Life Unhappy, I'm Leaving the Same"
There was a girl.
From the moment she began to understand the world, she understood one thing clearly — she had never known what warmth truly was. Her parents divorced when she was still a baby. Every time she saw girls who had fathers, she felt a quiet ache inside her chest, wishing she could also say, "My dad."
She lived with that longing for more than fifteen years.
Because of certain circumstances, she also spent a long part of her life away from her mother. She grew up learning patience before she learned happiness. She did not complain. She simply endured.
One day, she met a boy.
He was four years older than her. From the very first meeting, he liked her. And without realizing how it happened, she began to like him too. As days passed, their bond grew stronger. They became each other's habit.
Every day meant meetings, small gifts, shared laughter. For them, true happiness was not luxury — it was simply having each other, seeing one another every day.
One evening, the boy came to her house to take her out.
She had prepared carefully — light makeup, soft waves in her hair, and a delicate rose-scented perfume lingering on her skin. They walked for hours, ate together, talked endlessly. Time slipped away unnoticed.
When he walked her home, they stopped on the road.
He stepped closer, gently leaned in, and kissed her lips.
Her face instantly turned red, like a ripe apple. Shy and overwhelmed, she wrapped her arms tightly around him.
"I love you," she whispered.
They said goodbye, and she entered her house with a heart so full it almost hurt.
Days like this passed in happiness. They promised each other that they would always stay together, always love one another. Months turned into years.
Then one day, the boy told his mother that he wanted to get married — that there was a girl he loved.
When his mother learned that the girl had no father and had grown up away from her mother as well, she refused. No matter how many times he tried, he could not change her mind.
The next day, he came to the girl and explained everything.
And then… he left.
They broke up.
The girl was in shock. The pain of separation was unbearable. It felt as if he had taken her out of a burning hell, only to throw her back into it again.
Days filled with suffering. Nights drowned in tears.
And so, one year passed.
She did not try to forget him. Instead, she chose to keep him alive in her heart.
One day, while scrolling through the internet, her eyes fell upon a man.
He was handsome, well-groomed, confident. He had wealth, status, fame. Everything she had never had.
At that moment, she made a promise to herself.
"Give me five years," she said quietly.
"I will become beautiful, famous, and wealthy. And I will marry that man."
The problem was simple — the man was twelve years older than her. He was Korean. She lived in another country.
But none of that stopped her.
