Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : The Weapon that erases Divinity (2)

Supreme Atlas and the seven higher gods, Valen, Nyx, Elias, Aurelios, Nytheraand Malrec, Kaelis at the forefront, in an array that would take even the supreme beings a while to break.

"We shall now erase your divinity and restore harmony, for you have oppressed the divine realm for far too long, then reap what you sowed for a millennium inside your hidden realm pocket," said Aurelios, the goddess of order. The Supreme Atlas, breaking out of his trance, looked at the seven Divine beings and readied himself, launching at Kaelis, as his pride would never allow him to have his opponents attack first.

Kaelis smirked and, along with the other Higher Gods, poured their divine power into the knife, using him as a medium, as he unsheathed the ghastly dagger, which no longer looked like an exquisite dagger. Before he could swing the Eschaton, a wave of potent power arrived, concentrated on Kaelis; the other beings only hit by a sliver, but without the direct protection of the knife, the blow was fatal. They all coughed out golden blood, staining the divine realm below, burning the boundary. It was a cataclysm for the beings below.

Kaelis, his face now pale, mustered all his divine essence, sacrificing his divine power, swung the Eschaton, which looked like a dagger imbued with the Void, and roared as a wave of power hit the Supreme Atlas, who was cleaved, his lower half vanishing. But what the Gods couldn't see was a faint outline of a lower half, sustained by a faint Law essence. Kaelis was pale, his visage drooped, and he fell back, handing the dagger to Valen Morticar. This was how higher gods fought; just a breath was enough to doom demigods, lesser gods, or mortals.

Valen mustered his life essence artifact, a double-edged sword gifted by the Supreme Atlas due to his unbridled talent in swordsmanship, and channeled its concentrated divine power into the dagger. The other higher and lesser gods were alarmed, for they could now sense that the dagger carried void essence, a forbidden power condemned throughout the divine realm. Yet there was a more vital matter to address.

He looked at his master walking toward him, who, despite hanging by a thread of life, seemed at peace, and asked, "Why are you not afraid, despite having almost all your divinity erased?"
