Chapter 105 – "Mercy Ends Here"
The battlefield was ready.
The air was thick with tension, the sky an overcast gray like it too held its breath. On one side, the Nazi army stood in perfect formation, armor clanking, rifles aimed. Standing at the front were their champions—Oliver-X, Supergirl-X, and the ever-smirking Eobard Thawne.
On the other side: Barry Allen, Oliver Queen, Sara Lance, and Dante Hart, side by side like a wall of defiance.
Behind them, the world's best assembled:
Team Flash
Team Arrow
The Legends of Tomorrow
Even reinforcements from National City, including J'onn and Brainy.
This wasn't just a standoff—it was the endgame.
Dante stepped forward alone, hands in his coat pockets, cigarette hanging from his lips, red eyes glowing faintly beneath the shadow of his brow.
"I have a question," he said casually, his voice cutting through the silence like a blade.
All eyes turned toward him.
Dante's gaze locked on Eobard Thawne, the yellow blur himself.
"I killed you once," Dante said, stepping closer. "What makes you think I won't do it again? I mean, I literally ran across the damn world, shoved my hand through your chest, and ripped your heart out. Oh—and I opened a breach in the sky by accident. I'm that much stronger ."
He paused, then added with a cold grin, "So tell me, Eobard. Why shouldn't I rip your heart out again—for fun this time?"
The battlefield held still.
Eobard's smile faded. He didn't laugh, didn't posture. He simply looked at Dante… and said nothing. Because deep down, even he knew—
Dante was right.
After a moment, Eobard lowered his head and spoke quietly, almost in shame. "This isn't over… Red Doom."
Dante chuckled, the cigarette bouncing with his smirk. "Bitch, please. I don't go by that name anymore."
And just like that—Eobard ran.
A yellow blur vanished into the wind.
Dante turned to Barry and shrugged. "One's out."
Oliver smirked. Barry nodded grimly.
Dante looked back at Oliver-X, the dark archer with the Nazi insignia. "You know, I actually liked you," he said. "Back on Earth-X, you helped me. And I get it—you're trying to save your wife. I respect loyalty. But Kara's my friend… and I'll be damned if I let you hurt her."
He took a slow breath, flicking ash to the ground. "So here's what I'm offering. One time only. Take your army and go. This is the edge of my mercy."
The wind stirred. A bird called from the ruined trees. For a moment, it seemed like Oliver-X considered it.
But then—he moved.
His hand snapped toward his quiver.
Dante didn't sigh in surprise. He sighed in disappointment.
In the blink of an eye, he vanished—a red bolt of lightning—and before anyone even realized it:
Oliver-X's heart hit the ground with a wet thump.
He crumpled, lifeless.
Gasps echoed across the battlefield.
Supergirl-X let out a scream that split the air like a storm. Grief and rage twisted into one as she launched from the ground toward Dante in a sonic boom of heat vision and fury.
But another figure met her mid-air—Kara Danvers.
"I'm not letting you touch him," Kara growled, grabbing her twisted doppelgänger by the throat.
And in a flash, the two Supergirls vanished upward into the sky, the clouds swallowing them in the blink of an eye.
Their one-on-one fight had begun.
---
Back on the ground, confusion erupted.
The Nazi soldiers looked at one another. Their leaders were dead or gone—but their doctrine was drilled into their bones.
They shouted in unison.
And then—
They charged.
The entire battlefield erupted in war.
Team Flash surged forward, Cisco and Frost leading the metahuman charge. Team Arrow provided long-range support as Wild Dog, Diggle, and Black Canary tore through enemy lines. The Legends blinked in and out of time, causing chaos wherever they landed.
Sara and Oliver fought back-to-back, like they always had. Barry zipped through the field, disarming explosives and knocking soldiers out in controlled bursts of speed.
Amidst the chaos, Dante just stood there, perched on a rock.
Smoking.
Watching.
Unbothered.
The storm swirled around him, yet he was still. Red lightning crackled across his fingertips. He wasn't needed—not for the small fish.
Because the big bads were gone.
His job here was done.
And as far as he was concerned, the rest was just cleanup.
---
High above, Kara battled her doppelgänger through lightning clouds and broken air.
Supergirl-X was fast, angry, and strong—but Kara had hope. And more than that—she had resolve.
"You're dying!" Kara shouted, dodging a blast of heat vision. "You can't keep this up!"
"I'll take you with me!" Supergirl-X screamed.
Kara didn't back down. "Then let's finish this."
The sky cracked open with thunder as their final clash exploded.
---
Back on the battlefield, Dante looked up at the sky. His red eyes reflected the storm above.
"Come on, Kara," he whispered. "End it."
Behind him, the war was ending.
The soldiers, disorganized without leaders, were falling one by one. The tide had turned.
Victory was within reach.
