'The instructor sincerely felt he was the best subordinate in the world!'
When Vera Xavier came in and saw the large group of instructors, she felt that something was off. The situation wasn't what she'd had in mind. She thought the instructor would just call Sheldon Caldwell downstairs for her, but instead, he'd brought her straight upstairs.
Besides, the reason she'd come up with for finding Sheldon Caldwell had seemed plausible enough, but hearing it come out of the instructor's mouth now, it just sounded so strange!
Sheldon Caldwell looked up and saw Vera Xavier. He didn't think much of it at first, but then he turned and saw the gossipy looks from the employees below. That's when he knew something was wrong.
'He was a smart man, so of course, he knew they were all getting the wrong idea. And that little punk who brought Vera Xavier up here—was he deliberately trying to cause trouble for me?!'
