"Does your Dr. Shaw know?"
Laura Lowell idly ran her fingers over the throw pillow and shook her head, her dimples appearing faintly. "I haven't told him yet. I'll tell him when I get home tonight."
"Well, good luck with that."
"What's that supposed to mean? You make it sound like Dr. Shaw is going to eat me alive. He's very easygoing; I'm sure he'll agree."
Hannah Hale rested her chin on her hand and smiled. "He's only easygoing with *you*."
"That's called special treatment."
Laura Lowell smiled sweetly, faint dimples gracing her cheeks. She looked just like a woman basking in the glow of love.
After their meal, Laura Lowell headed home. On the way, she stopped by the supermarket and bought a lot of groceries, planning to cook dinner for Aiden Shaw herself that evening.
Carrying her shopping bags, Laura Lowell had just stepped out of the elevator when she saw Nancy pounding on her apartment door. "Nancy, what are you doing here?"
