Zachary Redgrave and Morgan Joyce went to get the cars. Laura Lowell pulled her coat tighter, resting her head on Hannah Hale's shoulder. "I miss Dr. Shaw."
"You've only been apart a day. Do you have to be so clingy?"
"But I really do miss him. What can I do?"
Hannah Hale tucked a windblown strand of hair behind her ear, her clear eyes filled with helpless resignation. "I'm at my breaking point. He might already have someone he likes."
"You mean... that girl?"
Laura Lowell already knew that Nathan Redgrave had ditched Hannah Hale on the side of the road.
If Hannah hadn't stopped her, Laura would have tracked down that scumbag to settle the score. She would have ripped into him, and even if she couldn't win a fight, she would have fought him with everything she had.
Before Laura Lowell's words had faded in the cold wind, a van screeched to a halt at the club's entrance, and two bodyguards in black suits got out.
