"If you're scared, I'll go back to the bedroom with you. Let's get some rest."
Aiden Shaw pulled her into his arms, affectionately nuzzling the top of her head with his chin.
"Okay. If we keep watching, I'm really afraid I won't be able to sleep tonight."
Aiden Shaw took Laura Lowell's hand and stood up from the sofa. He turned to Zachary Redgrave and said, "Turn the volume down. Don't disturb us. And remember to close the door on your way out."
"Don't go! It's getting really good."
"Do you not have a TV at your own place, or can you not afford the electricity bill? Why are you so determined to mooch around our house and not leave?"
Aiden Shaw's dark glare made Zachary Redgrave feel like he had pins and needles on his back. He gave a cheeky laugh. "Hey, the more the merrier, right?"
Something on the TV must have been terrifying, because Zoe Yates suddenly shrieked and leaped up from the sofa, clamping his arms and legs around Zachary Redgrave's neck.
