Naomi Kenway sat on the bus, and before long, a wave of drowsiness washed over her. She rubbed her eyes.
"Tired?" Ethan Shaw asked. He called out to Ian Shaw, "Come over to Dad. Let Mom get some rest."
Ian Shaw moved from Naomi Kenway's arms to sit beside Ethan Shaw, but his gaze remained on Naomi. "Ian will be very quiet. You can go to sleep, Mommy."
Naomi Kenway nodded and closed her eyes.
Ian Shaw hadn't been sitting for long before Carina Sanders called him over to chat. A moment later, Simon Sawyer and Jared Woods came over to join them.
Carina Sanders sighed, wise beyond her years. "It's been so long since we've seen Mona. I wonder how he's doing. Do you think he misses us?"
"We haven't seen big brother Mona in ages. Do you guys think his evil stepmom beat him to death?" Jared Woods's voice was laced with anger.
Simon Sawyer cut him off. "Don't talk nonsense. Mona is perfectly fine."
