Chapter 4 - Chapter-4: The Man Who Will Be The Strongest

The expression of astonishment on everyone's faces, including Aidoneus, was replaced by fear and panic. Although they were Cosmyth users, they were still young and inexperienced. Aidoneus made an announcement through the loudspeakers.

"Attention to everyone in Cosmo-1 class! Don't panic, I will be there as soon as possible. In the meantime, stall Magni. And whatever you do, don't get yourselves killed!"

This announcement both stressed them out more and provided some relief. Their teacher was coming to intervene, which meant the situation was serious enough to require his intervention. Magni turned his gaze towards Neptune. Han immediately drew a curtain of crimson mist between him and the others, blocking his view.

"Neptune! Get everyone to a safe building. I'll buy you some time!"

"Got it! Han, be careful."

"Don't worry about me, just be quick. I don't know how long I can hold him!"

Neptune took Urania on his back. Amor took Aurora. Hecate and Diana ran beside them to a safe building. Luna, who had seen what was happening from a distance, climbed down from the building she was on and came over. She took her brother in her arms and went to join the others. Han was left alone with Magni. Magni looked even more terrifying in the mist. His eyes shone bright blue. Their speeds were almost the same. Han barely dodged Magni's lunges. He owed his ability to do this to Magni's body not being accustomed to this speed. A single mistake could result in him losing his head or another limb. As far as he could tell, Magni was not conscious. He was starting to get tired. He was slowing down. Only one thing was left for him to do. He drew his sword and struck Magni, who was lunging at him. Although the blow threw him backward, it barely left a scratch. The power of the blow was the same as the one that cut the building.

Fortunately, Aidoneus arrived shortly after. He threw Magni, who was making a move towards Han, back about 100 meters with a single punch.

"Han!"

"Yes, sir!?"

"Get Neptune and come to me. Tell Luna and the others to take the injured to the infirmary. Hurry, our time may be limited."

"Understood!"

While Han went to get Neptune, Magni and Aidoneus started fighting hand-to-hand. Aidoneus thought to himself, "Good thing I'm the one fighting him. This kid is literally a monster. His punches are at least half a ton or more. I hope Sol isn't dead". Magni's punches were both very strong and very fast. He was throwing heavy punches one after another. Even though Aidoneus endured these blows, he also had a limit. He tried to catch Magni's hands and push him. His plan was to push him and pin him to a building. But this plan also fell through. No matter how much force Aidoneus applied, neither of them moved an inch. This only meant one thing. Their muscle strengths were equal. No, Magni was weaker than him. This meant that the force Magni was exerting was greater than Aidoneus's. Neptune and Han arrived just in time.

Aidoneus: "Neptune! There is a water line passing nearby. Use that water and trap Magni in a sphere."

Neptune: "Understood!"

Aidoneus: "Han! Help me. Surround Magni with mist. If he can't see, his speed will be meaningless."

Han: "Understood!"

The duo did as Aidoneus instructed. Han covered the surroundings with mist. Neptune then placed the sightless Magni in a water prison. Aidoneus decided that this would not be enough. He put his hands on the ground and said, "Holy Heirloom: Army of the Dead!". This was the technique of the Hades Heirloom passed down from generation to generation. The ground split open, and dozens of skeleton soldiers emerged from it. They all jumped onto Magni in the water prison. They held him tightly. Although Magni managed to escape the grip of the skeleton soldiers, he had spent all his energy. When he became motionless and his eyes closed, Neptune released him on Aidoneus's command. The trio, seeing Magni lying motionless on the ground, took a deep breath and knelt down.

Neptune: "What was that!"

Han: "Seriously, what happened to Magni!?"

Aidoneus: "Your friend has gained his Cosmyth."

Neptune: "Heirloom! But my power emerged very calmly."

Han: "Mine too."

Aidoneus: "The later your Cosmyth reveals itself, the more intensely it releases the power it has been accumulating over the years. The event you just witnessed was an example of this."

When the area calmed down and everyone recovered their energy, Aidoneus took Magni onto his back. As Han, Neptune, and Aidoneus were heading to the infirmary, Neptune asked,

"Are you okay, sir?"

"Yes, I was just surprised that Magni was so strong. Despite his age and it being the first time he used his Cosmyth, his muscle strength was greater than mine. For a moment, I thought I wouldn't be able to hold him".

Han and Neptune looked at each other. Both were thinking about how they could measure up to Magni once he gained control of his power. They would have to train harder. When they returned the way they came, a small medical team met them. They took Magni from them and brought him to the infirmary. They said that everyone else was there and that they should also come and get treated and have their wounds checked. When the team entered the infirmary, the first thing they noticed was the panic over Sol. Luna was sitting in the chair next to Sol's stretcher, waiting beside her brother who was being treated. Urania's and the others' treatments were complete. Han, unable to resist, asked the head nurse,

"How did our friends' treatments finish so quickly? Are you an Heir too?"

"Yes. I possess the Cosmyth of Sekhmet, the Egyptian Goddess of Health and Life. It's a good thing I was here, or that blonde young man would have surely died."

Everything had truly been thought of for the students at the school. The Head Nurse asked those whose treatment and check-up were finished to go to their classrooms and not crowd the area while the others were being treated. Everyone except Magni, Sol, and Aidoneus left the infirmary room and went to the classroom. 15 minutes later, Magni opened his eyes. Magni was slowly coming to. Dazed, he looked around. The white lights hurt his eyes. The walls were painted lilac. He saw Sol lying on the stretcher next to him. He was looking at his own hands and at Sol. He hadn't wanted this to happen. He had no intention of hurting anyone. He was slowly starting to remember what had happened. He had been angry at Sol's ruthlessness and condescension. Was there a need to attack someone who was already immobilized and surrendered? What was this cruelty for? He was aware that national weapons were being trained at this school. So why was he filled with regret and anger? Was he the one in the wrong? Sol, as a weapon, had done what was necessary. He had deterred the enemy. The person who did this could have been a real enemy. What would he do when that moment came? Would he lose control again and harm his friends? He needed to pull himself together. He needed to take control of his new powers and become useful to his team. After all, he was their captain.

While Magni was thinking these things, Sol came to. Selkis's treatment was very effective. His shattered bones that had torn through his muscles and skin were completely healed. Sol woke up with a scream. Even though his wounds were healed, he was feeling the pain. Magni turned to Sol and said,

"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't want it to happen like that."

"Hmph, monster."

"What?"

"You're a monster, Magni. I was there. You were struggling to live on the ground far from me. Next thing I knew, you were right next to me. I've never seen anyone that fast in my life."

"You're the real monster! You tortured someone who couldn't even move."

"That's the reality of war. Do you think the enemy will pity us in a real war? No. If we were in a real war, Urania would already be dead!"

"You might be right, but doing something like that on the very first day…"

"Ah, maybe I exaggerated a bit. I should apologize to Urania when the treatment is over. But you can be sure that it's better for her to experience this from someone in her own class rather than from the hands of an enemy."

Selkis came up to them.

"Magni Hyperaspis, your treatment is complete. Try not to push yourself too hard. You can go to your class now," she said.

Magni thanked Selkis for the treatment. He turned to Sol and said,

"I'm going to class. See you there."

Sol bowed his head and said with a slight smile, "Hmm, see you there." Magni left the infirmary with a smile on his face. Magni didn't want to be enemies with him. He had a feeling that he and Sol would become good friends. Perhaps they could all together change his harsh attitude.

When he arrived at the classroom, Magni knocked on the door and entered. The classmates turned to Magni. Everyone, except Luna, seemed happy about his recovery. He was understanding of her attitude. After all, he had hurt her brother. The teacher said,

"Take your seat, Magni. It's an honor for me to meet someone like you."

The teacher was a bald, old, skinny man covered in tattoos.

"Excuse me, but why exactly are you happy to meet me?"

"First of all, I'm also from the North, like you. From Scandinavia. Another reason I wanted to meet you is your Cosmyth! You must be the Heir of Thor, the God of Lightning and Thunder. Individuals with the Cosmyth of such powerful gods are quite rare."

"But how did you figure out my Cosmyth!? I don't even know which god it is from!"

"I have the Cosmyth of Mimir, the God of Wisdom. Of course, there are things I don't know, but I am one of the smartest and wisest beings in the universe. You are from the North and command lightning, what else could it be! Still, remember that this is just a guess."

"Wow..."

"Anyway. We've met you too. Do you have any questions?" Mimir said last.

The class was the history of Cosmyth. On the board were the Heirs of known former great gods. Magni, who had a special interest in history, began to examine the board carefully. He knew some of the people there. Mostly, the ones he knew were Heirs of War Gods.

While the lecture was continuing, the classroom door knocked. It was Sol. He had been treated. He looked well. He slowly walked to his seat and sat down. His ribs must still be hurting. Sol ran his hand through his hair, then turned to Luna and said something. Magni couldn't hear what he said, but whatever it was, Luna's gaze was fixed on Magni. Without taking her eyes off him, Luna told Sol, "He might have the Cosmyth of Thor." Magni could hear that. Similarly, Sol also looked at Magni. This gaze was different from his sister's. It was as if he was happy to hear it.

A few minutes later, the class was over, and the students went out for their lunch break. Magni's class was hanging out in the same two groups as they were in training. The only difference was that Diana and Hecate were sitting separately from the groups. Everyone at the school was talking about how Aidoneus struggled to stop Magni.

During their meal, a tall, muscular young man with brown hair and blue eyes approached their table. He had a scar running all the way across his right eye. He separated from the others and extended his hand to Magni. Magni reciprocated in the same way.
