Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Showing Off His Talent

Zod soared into the air, reaching a height level with the giant python's head.

Only then did he speak, "We are from Krypton. We came here to find the spaceship that crashed on this planet. We have now found it, and we will leave with it immediately."

"Hmph, so the ones who offended me twenty thousand years ago were your kin. What a pity they were frozen by me back then, and now they've long turned into ice dust!"

"Listen, no one can take anything from my divine domain. Get out of my divine domain immediately, or I will freeze you here for eternity."

Hearing Zod's words, the giant python snorted coldly, its tone becoming increasingly impolite.

As an ancient god born on this planet, he had long considered this planet his private territory and would never allow outsiders to trespass.

Now, hearing that Zod and his companions were actually allied with those people, the anger from being offended long ago was rekindled.

The reason he didn't immediately attack was also because he could tell that Zod and his group seemed different from the fragile fellows who had come before.

After all, Apollo, who had just suffered a fierce strike from him, had already climbed out of the ground, shaking his head, and appeared to have no trace of injury on his body.

Zod didn't pay attention to his changing tone and continued to speak calmly:

"We can leave, but we must take that spaceship, because it is very important to us. As for the offense of our ancestors, they have already paid the price with their lives."

In fact, unless absolutely necessary, Zod also didn't want to fight. After all, he could see that the giant python in front of him had a very close connection with the planet beneath him.

He had only recently awakened his abilities and hadn't yet tested his true strength, nor was he sure if the opponent had any special methods.

Therefore, if he could avoid a battle, he didn't want to create unnecessary trouble.

"If you want to take something from my divine domain, then let's see if you have the ability to defeat me."

With that, the giant python suddenly opened its massive mouth, and a surge of extreme cold energy spewed out, the terrifying chill seemingly intending to freeze even the space in front of it.

Seeing this, Zod's figure flickered rapidly in the air, easily dodging the giant python's attack.

Below, Fiora and the others also immediately activated their super speed to dodge, then charged towards the giant python together.

Zod did not stop them. He was not some upright hero; if something could be solved by ganging up, he wouldn't try to show off alone.

Just then, a prompt sounded in his mind:

"Ding! The host has encountered an unknown ancient god's attack, triggering an optional quest. One, escape immediately. Successfully escaping rewards one Wheel Draw. Two, confront the ancient god. Defeating the ancient god rewards two Wheel Draws!"

"Escape? It's just a slightly overgrown worm. Not wanting trouble doesn't mean I'm afraid of trouble. I choose to confront the ancient god."

If Zod had a hint of apprehension towards this giant python ancient god before, at this moment, under the temptation of two Wheel Draw opportunities, he was utterly fearless.

Are you kidding? Two Wheel Draw opportunities! If he was lucky enough to draw something like a Nine-Revolutions Golden Elixir, wouldn't he just skyrocket to power?

Now, let alone the opponent being merely a native god of a planet, even if it were a true god, he would still challenge it.

The next moment, he flew forward, his clenched fist slamming out with formidable force, striking the giant python's head and sending its massive body flying.

It crashed heavily against the mountain behind it, causing a massive tremor.

Fiora and the others didn't miss this opportunity. They quickly closed the distance to the giant python, their heavy fists raining down on various parts of its body.

Although they had only recently awakened, the Kryptonian bloodline was so unreasonable, and thus the force of their punches was not easy to endure.

The giant python's snow-white scales were shattered and flew off, but what surprised Zod a little was that the blood flowing from its body was blue.

But then, remembering the opponent's identity as a planetary ancient god, he immediately understood.

He then relied on his super speed, constantly pulling and tearing at the giant python, continuously inflicting damage.

Seeing this, he couldn't help but think to himself, "It seems the native gods of these remote planets are nothing special."

The giant python, being so ravaged, shrieked in pain, letting out a mournful roar.

"Roar!"

Then he let out a roar, and a icy blue light shimmered around his body.

Instantly, the scales that had been blasted off his body rapidly regenerated, and with that, an endless ice and snow storm began to rapidly form around him as its center.

Facing such a sight, Zod took a deep breath, then began to fly rapidly around him, simultaneously emitting freezing breath from his mouth.

The remaining Fiora and the others, seeing this, scattered around with great tacit agreement, then formed a encirclement around the giant python. Following suit, they all took a deep breath and then fiercely exhaled towards the giant python.

Under the combined freezing breath attacks of ten Kryptonian warriors, in just a few seconds, the storm around the giant python, which had not yet fully formed, turned into an ice sculpture, and he himself was also frozen.

Perhaps he himself never imagined that he, born from ice and snow, would one day be frozen.

It was at this moment that a prompt sounded again in his mind:

"Ding! The host is truly a natural genius, defeating an ancient god with a mere mortal body. Congratulations on receiving two Wheel Draws!"

Upon hearing this, Zod couldn't help but ponder in his mind, so even possessing Kryptonian bloodline was merely considered mortal in the system's eyes!

Moreover, it seemed that this system didn't care about the process of completing the mission, only the final result. This battle counted as their righteous group beatdown.

Thinking this, Zod gracefully landed on the giant python's head. Fiora flew up and asked, "General, how should we deal with this fellow?"

Facing this native god, Zod had no intention of killing him, only instructing, "Don't mind him. You all move the spaceship out. We need to leave this place as soon as possible."

"Yes, General!"

Upon receiving the order, Fiora led several Kryptonian warriors to lift the spaceship out of the mountain.

Leto immediately inspected the spaceship, then exclaimed in surprise, "General, this spaceship is very well preserved! All internal facilities are undamaged, we can use it directly."

Zod waved his hand and said to everyone, "Good, board the ship immediately. We are leaving this place, and from now on, we officially embark on the great journey of rebuilding Krypton."

A single sentence immediately ignited the passion in everyone.

As the spaceship ascended, the solid ice encasing the giant python immediately shattered. With a gentle sweep of its massive body, the surrounding ice sculptures also turned into fragments.

Watching the spaceship disappear into the sky, a trace of fear, as well as a sense of relief, flickered in his enormous vertical pupils.

He was an ancient god born from ice and snow; how could he be frozen by a mere bit of ice? He had just felt an unprecedented crisis from Zod and his companions.

He felt that if the battle continued, he might be at risk of death.

So, he simply used the opportunity of them freezing him to observe for a while. If Zod and his companions were determined to kill him, then he would fight to the death.

The result was that he found Zod had no intention of killing him, so he allowed them to move the spaceship and no longer stubbornly resisted.

Feeling everything calm down, his massive form gradually disappeared into the boundless wind and snow.

Soon, all traces of the battle were once again covered by ice and snow, as if nothing had ever happened.
