Chapter 8 - Chapter 6

The morning sun shone brightly over the goblin fortress. Rimuru and Shiro called all the goblins, the chieftains, and the now-surrendered wolf pack to the central area.

Shiro's ears twitched as he observed the gathered crowd. "Big brother… today we're going to give names to the goblins and wolves."

The goblin chief stepped forward, bowing slightly. "Lord Rimuru… are you sure this is… alright?"

Rimuru blinked. "Huh? Alright… for what?"

Shiro sighed. "You'll see soon. You'll be naming them, whether you know it or not."

Rimuru shrugged. "Fine, I'll do it."

The goblins, the goblin chief, and even the wolves began to dance joyfully, celebrating the occasion. Rimuru watched, slightly confused. "Why are they dancing?"

Shiro flicked a tail. "…I didn't tell you?"

Rimuru's slime body jiggled in embarrassment. "Apparently not."

Naming the Goblins and Wolves

Rimuru started naming the goblins one by one, while Shiro quietly gave a name to one goblin girl—Haruna.

The girl's eyes sparkled. "Haruna… I like it!"

Shiro smiled faintly. He already recognized her; she was the goblin he saved during the wolf attack. She had always stayed close after that, but Shiro… didn't particularly care. He simply chose the name.

After finishing the goblins, Rimuru turned to the wolves. The son of the wolf chief was named Ranga.

But the effort of naming everyone drained Rimuru, and he passed out right after.

The goblins and wolves panicked, unsure what to do, but Shiro immediately took charge.

"Stay calm! Follow my instructions!"

Shiro in Human Form

Shiro transformed into his human form—a boy of 10–12 years with long white hair, blue eyes, and three tails swaying majestically.

Several goblin women whispered, one-word reactions: "Cute…" "Adorable…" "Amazing…"

Haruna stepped forward, lightly pushing other goblin women away to protect Shiro from their overzealous hugging.

Shiro patted her head, causing her to blush slightly. "…Good girl."

For the next few days, Shiro oversaw the goblin tribe, instructing them to hunt, gather food, collect water, and build shelters.

But Shiro noticed a problem: their houses were poorly constructed, lacking skill and stability.

Rimuru Wakes Up

Two days later, Rimuru finally awoke. A hobgoblin woman greeted him politely.

"Lord Rimuru… this is Lord Shiro and Rigurd," she said.

Rimuru's slime body jiggled in surprise. "Rigurd? Who's that?"

Great Sage's voice explained in his mind: "The naming and evolution of goblins and wolves has been completed. Rigurd is a new ally, evolved after naming."

Rimuru understood why he had passed out from exhaustion.

He looked at Shiro, now in human form with three tails, and felt a small wave of anger.

"Why didn't you tell me about the naming ceremony?!" Rimuru exclaimed, slightly embarrassed and frustrated.

Shiro flicked a tail lazily. "You just decided to name everyone all at once. I didn't have time to warn you."

Rimuru blushed in embarrassment, realizing Shiro was right. "…I… see."

Village Problems

Shiro then turned serious. "The village is facing problems. The goblins are poor at constructing shelters, and the wolf pack isn't used to working with them. If we don't fix this, the next raid could cause real damage."

Rimuru nodded. "Alright… little brother, we'll fix it together. Let's improve this village."

Shiro's blue eyes gleamed with determination. "Exactly. If we work properly, this place can become a fortress stronger than most cities. And I'll make sure everyone stays safe."

Rimuru's slime body vibrated with pride. "…That's my little brother."

The two of them, brothers united, were ready to strengthen the goblin village and train their new allies for the battles ahead.
