Keifer's PoV
I went down carrying her, everyone looked at us as we descended, especially her father.
D: "You bastard leave me daughter"
I slowly placed her down in the couch, she held my shirt tightly,
Jay: "Don't leave me"
Keifer: "I am not going anywhere sweetheart" I said and placed a tight kiss on her forehead,
I went and stood in front of her dad,
Keifer: "How do you call yourself as her Dad"
D:"I have no business talking to you Now get put of my house "
Keifer: "I am going to leave but I am leaving with Jay"
D: "She is my daughter, you cannot take her"
Keifer :"Can you look at the state of daughter and the sole reason is you, and how do you even claim yourself her father after putting her through all this"
he throwed his hands on me and I caught him,
D: "She is my daughter I can do whatever I want with her, I don't need her or anyone else permission" He said and was about to slap, I held his hand and pushed him back
Keifer: "NO you are not, I am taking her with me and this is the last time you will see her"
he turned and started speaking towards Jay,
D: "wow, you are really showing you gratefulness for raising you" he shouted at her and she flinched and started crying more,
I immediately went to her and hugged her,
Keifer: "I am here, I am here, Don't cry" I couldn't make her suffer anymore, so I scooped her the couch and started walking towards the exit,
Keifer: "David, come and take the car we will leave"
I said and moved quickly and her father came behind us and quickly signalled David and he punched him and he fell, I went to the car and settled in the back seat, while David and Sara in the front, We quickly started from there.
I had Jay on my lap and hugged her tightly because she was still shivering, she held on to me closely, I placed many kisses on her forehead to calm her down.
Keifer: "David, I think we should go the hospital first"
Jay: "No, I don't want "she said it as a whisper
Keifer : "Jay but your fever is really high"
Jay: "please" she asked, I understood she was vulnerable and just want a safe place to rest.
Keifer: "Okay, David I will tell you an address take us there"
We reached there, it was an apartment, my parents gifted me this when I got into this university, but I said I would live in dorm and make new friends, but now I wanted to live with Jay daily, initially I wanted to surprise her after the semester break, I wanted to ask her to move in with, but I did not realise that I would bring her here first time in this situation, she was partially conscious.
David: "I think you guys need to be alone, call us if you need anything"
Sara: "Yeah take care of her"
I nodded, and after that they left and I carried Jay to our apartment, I went inside and placed her in the bed, she was still clutching my shirt, So I moved a little inside and sat with and held her hands. she was burning with fever, So I decide to bring her temperature down with wet cloth, I got up and she held my hand,
Jay: "Don't leave me"
Keifer: "I am not going anywhere, I will be back in a minute" I said and came back with towel and water, I soaked it and placed it on her head. I did it a few times, her temperature lowered a little bit.
My heart was aching to see her in this condition. I held her hand and kissed it and made a promise to myself to never put her through this condition again.
She slept for a while, I ordered something for her to eat and also medicines for her , because we do not have anything in this house yet. After sometime, the food came, I arranged it and tried to wake her up.
Keifer: "Jay, Jay wake up" she slowly woke up and I made her sit up. She was still looking pale and dull.
I started feeding her the soup after blowing off the hot steam, I fed her,
Jay: "Enough" she said denying the spoon,
Keifer: "Just few more please" I somehow managed to feed her,
After that I gave her medicines and made her rest again, I cleaned up and checked her temperature again, it was better than before.
I was little relieved. But it wasn't fully down,
So I kept checking on her, in middle of the night making sure that her temperature doesn't raise.
I kissed her and took her in my embrace, she nuzzled into me, now I felt at peace after having her in my arms, especially after everything that took place.
