Keifer's Pov
I couldn't sleep well that night my thoughts were revolving around her, after dinner also I tried calling her multiple times but she did not pick up which made my heart heavy, Then it was already 5 A.M I decided to not wait anymore, I texted my parents saying I was leaving to check on Jay, I also texted my friends saying That I was leaving to Jay's house, they said they will also be there at time when I reach there.
I started driving towards her house and my only thought and prayer was she will be okay. After few hours I reached her house, It was different people were carrying around decor items around her house, as if preparing it for an event, but I couldn't care less, I got out of my car to notice David and Sara has also reached at the perfect time.
We went together and I rang the bell, after few minutes, I think Jay's Dad opened the door, he looked confused looking at us,
D: "Who are you guys?"
Keifer: "We are Jay's friend, we are here to see her. She did not answer our calls, Is she okay?"
D: "She is busy right now, her engagement is fixed, she do not have time for all of this, Now leave"
I was shocked when he said engagement, I mean she messaged me in the morning, but she did not mention anything, I realised maybe her parents are forcing her into this because my Jay would have never agreed to this.
Sara: "What? Engagement?"
D: "Yeah are guys deaf? Now leave from my house"
Keifer: "No, You are forcing her into this engagement"
D: "Who the hell are you to come and talk to me like that in my own freaking house"
He said and throwed his hands at me,
I tackled him and pushed him and went inside and shouted her name,
Keifer: "Jay, Jay. David handle her dad" I said and he nodded and I went around the rooms looking for her,
I opened a room to see her sitting in a corner hugging her knees and crying while being breathless and shivering , that broke my heart to look her in that state and she did not even notice I was there.
Keifer: "Jay" I called for her in a softer voice
She looked up at me,
Jay: "Keifer" her voice came as a whisper, she finally had a relieved look in her eyes,
I quickly went to her and hugged her tightly, She sobbed more uncontrollably,
Keifer: "Shhh, I am here, I am here" I said and kissed her forehead gently, It made me hate her parents more who are the reason for her condition,
Jay: "Keifer, Keif Take me from here, they are trying to get me married to someone"
I wiped her tears slowly, and cupped her face,
Keifer: "I am here, I won't let that happen, Okay?" I said and kissed her forehead again reassuring her,
That is when I realised she was burning up, She must have cried all night and it pained me I was not there for her.
Jay: "Keif, but my parents won't let me go"
Keifer: "I will take you with me I promise, You don't have to be afraid of them"
I said and slowly carried her in my arms, she held me and laid her head on my chest finally resting, after going through that breakdown.
I went down carrying her, everyone looked at us as we descended, especially her father.
D: "You bastard leave me daughter"
