15 experience points is a bit outrageous. It seems the combat power of these undead creatures isn't very strong. If a dozen Skeleton Soldier or a few zombies had been taken out by Straker like this, he would have gained a few hundred experience points.
Rhodes was very satisfied with Straker's heroic performance. These 2,500 units of gold were totally worth it!
"Great Master! I sense there are still some undead creatures nearby. Should I clear them all out?" Relying on the sensitivity of a Death Knight to undead aura, Straker could clearly perceive the existence of a great number of undead creatures in this small town.
"Approximately how many are there? Are you confident you can handle them?" Rhodes asked.
Clearing out these undead creatures would be good; at least it would make this dilapidated town temporarily safe, allowing Rhodes to develop cautiously for a while.
"A few hundred, Master. As for eliminating them, it's absolutely no problem.
They are just some low-level infected undead creatures; their combat power is even inferior to ordinary Skeleton Soldiers," Straker said.
Dealing with these wild undead creatures was simply easy and pleasant for him, a powerful Death Knight Hero.
"Hmm! Take the zombie troops with you! That will be safer," Rhodes nodded and said.
Rhodes was quite confident in Straker's current combat strength. Taking the zombie troops meant that if anything happened, a hero with troops at hand wouldn't be afraid.
Straker nodded and immediately left with 20 Walking Corpses. After Straker departed, Rhodes continuously received system notifications!
A glorious victory grants 20 experience points!
A glorious victory grants 30 experience points!
A glorious victory grants 28 experience points!
In just one short hour, the dilapidated town was completely cleaned up by Straker.
After clearing out all the undead creatures in the entire town, Straker returned to Rhodes' residence.
Over 300 undead creatures allowed Straker to gain more than 300 experience points for leveling up.
Furthermore, thanks to the Necropolis Hero's Necromancy skill, Straker brought back 30 Skeleton Soldier for Rhodes, increasing Rhodes' number of Skeleton Soldier to over 60.
The Necropolis faction truly grows stronger the more they fight! These Skeleton Soldier converted by Necromancy are truly wonderful and cost-effective.
"Reporting, Great Master, I have completely cleared out all the wild undead creatures in the town. Currently, this town is safe, and the Master may move about freely," Straker said.
"I understand, Straker. While you were exploring the town, did you find any entity controlling these undead creatures, such as an undead mage?" Rhodes asked.
With so many undead appearing in this small town, Rhodes suspected there should be a manipulator nearby.
"Great Master, I did not sense the presence of any undead mage, nor were these undead creatures created through death magic.
I can perceive that these undead creatures were originally residents of this small town. They must have consumed a grain infected with a plague virus, which is how they turned into undead," Straker said.
"Grain infected with a plague virus!"
"That's right, Master! While clearing the town's undead, I accidentally discovered a grain storage warehouse.
Inside, there was some grain contaminated by the undead plague virus. If ordinary mortals consume this grain, they will immediately be transformed into low-level undead creatures," Straker said.
Rhodes nodded upon hearing this. Contaminated grain—all the undead outside were transformed villagers!
"Straker, take me to the grain warehouse you found," Rhodes said.
Straker nodded and immediately led Rhodes to the center of the town, inside a grain warehouse.
Rhodes looked around. A fierce battle had clearly taken place here previously. There were some corpses nearby, not undead creatures, but a dozen soldiers clad in full iron armor, dressed somewhat like Human Crusaders.
Rhodes stepped forward and inspected them. Before falling in battle, these heavily armored soldiers had taken down a considerable number of undead.
Could he have transmigrated into the native world of heroes of might and magic III? Were these guys Erathia's Crusaders?
This wasn't good news. This world was destined for destruction in the future; the collision of the Blade of Frost and the Armageddon's Blade would lead to the collapse of the entire planet.
"Straker, are these guys Crusaders?"
"Master! The combat power of these humans is decent, but they are only equivalent to ordinary Spearmen; they cannot compare to true Swordsmen, let alone Crusaders!" Straker said.
They were only wearing iron armor. Their physical quality was, at most, equivalent to the level of a Spearman, barely having escaped the ranks of peasants.
However, they were incomparable to Crusaders, who were seasoned veterans tested by harsh warfare. If a dozen Crusaders were present, low-level undead wouldn't be able to handle them.
At least some higher-level undead creatures, such as Ghosts or Vampires, would be needed.
Rhodes nodded upon hearing this and began to carefully examine the soldiers' armor, finding that it was merely standardized armor of not particularly fine craftsmanship.
While checking the soldiers' corpses, Rhodes noticed they must have died only a few days ago, as the bodies had not yet severely decomposed.
Suddenly, Rhodes frowned. On one soldier's shield, there was a perfectly preserved emblem: a blue background with an L-shaped letter.
Rhodes felt like he had seen this special symbol somewhere before. After careful identification, Rhodes remembered where he had seen it.
As a veteran World of Warcraft enthusiast, an old player who had spent more than ten years in Azeroth.
Rhodes recognized at a glance that this was a shield dropped in the Heroic mode instance of Purging Stratholme: the Royal Crest of Lordaeron.
Although the style of the shield was slightly different, the symbol was identical. Wait a minute, was this not the planet of heroes of might and magic III, but the planet Azeroth?
Rhodes immediately checked the shields of several other soldiers and found the exact same emblem. After carefully examining the armor they wore, Rhodes also recognized the distinctive features of the Kingdom of Lordaeron.
A plague-contaminated granary, villagers turned into undead creatures—wasn't this a storyline from Warcraft III?
The Prince of Lordaeron, the great filial son of the Alliance, Arthas, coming to investigate the contaminated grain!
"Master! I sense the aura of living people nearby, heading toward us," Straker suddenly said.
"How many are there? What is their combat power?" Rhodes stood up and asked.
"About a dozen. One of them is a mage, and another possesses a power that makes me uncomfortable similar to that of an Angel. As for their combat strength, I haven't fought them, so I'm not sure," Straker said.
