Chapter 8 - Council

Hearing this, Arthas' expression changed. Kel'Thuzad, that evil necromancer, was once a member of the Six-Man Council of the Kirin Tor in Dalaran.

Who were the members of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council? Every single one of them was Dalaran's top-tier Archmage.

They possessed magical attainments far beyond what mortals could imagine! Why would such a person commit such evil deeds?

Moreover, how did this Rhodes know about Kel'Thuzad?

Even Jaina didn't know about this, or rather, Jaina had deceived him!

Was it to protect Dalaran's dignity?

So she didn't tell him Kel'Thuzad's identity. If he was truly a member of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council.

Jaina had no reason not to recognize him! Even if his appearance had changed, he had announced his name!

Arthas looked at Jaina, his eyes filled with confusion and a hint of disappointment.

"Jaina! Is what Rhodes said true?"

Rhodes, riding alongside, merely wore an expression of someone watching a good show. If only he had a camera right now, the future Lich King looked like a young boyfriend who had been sweet-talked by his girlfriend!

"Kel'Thuzad was indeed a member of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council. I'm sorry! Arthas.

I truly didn't recognize him at first. I even thought it was just a coincidence of names! I never imagined he was actually that Kel'Thuzad," Jaina said, a little guiltily.

Actually, when she heard him announce his name, she had her suspicions, but his attire at the time!

And the magic he displayed, made it impossible for her to connect him with a powerful Archmage, a member of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council.

For no other reason than he was too weak!

After seeing her and Arthas, he didn't even cast an Arcane Magic spell, only released an Undead monster, and then immediately fled in disarray.

Jaina thought he was just an evil necromancer with the same name.

"Rhodes, how did you know about Kel'Thuzad's intelligence?"

"Does that even need asking? He announced his name, and he could calmly leave in front of the two of you. With that kind of power, he's definitely Kel'Thuzad!"

"At the time, I sensed the powerful magic within him and didn't even dare to act. Only after he left did I dare to step in and save you," Rhodes shrugged, beginning to talk nonsense with a straight face.

Actually, when he arrived, Kel'Thuzad had already retreated.

"How about this! Arthas, I'll immediately return to Dalaran and seek help from my mentor, Archmage Antonidas, to send someone to deal with Kel'Thuzad," Jaina said.

To be honest, if it was about dealing with a member of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council, she wasn't confident either!

It's hard to say if their group could win.

She had once heard her teacher say that before Kel'Thuzad was expelled from Dalaran, he was the second most powerful mage in Dalaran, second only to her teacher, Antonidas.

During the Second War, after witnessing the evil Undead Spells of the Orc Warlocks, he became obsessed with necromancy and was expelled from the Dalaran Council for researching necromancy.

"No! Jaina, I want to deal with this guy myself!" Arthas said.

As the Prince of Lordaeron, he had his pride. This criminal who harmed the people of his country.

He must personally execute him, not hand him over to the Dalaran Council for judgment.

If people from Dalaran came, even if Kel'Thuzad was defeated, he would be taken away by the people of Dalaran, not judged by Lordaeron.

"Actually, I think if the three of us work together, we should be able to deal with him. My magic power is immense; as long as I can hit him, I can kill him," Rhodes said.

"Rhodes is right, Jaina, don't worry! We will definitely win. Rhodes wields both Arcane and Holy Light power; he will surely help us defeat Kel'Thuzad," Arthas said.

No matter what, Dalaran could not interfere in this matter. This was Lordaeron's internal affair, not a foreign policy issue.

Jaina said nothing more upon hearing this, but silently nodded. Arthas was still too proud, as proud as ever!

That night, everyone rested in the wilderness. Rhodes was given a single tent.

Only Arthas, Jaina Jaina, and Rhodes had single tents here, while the other soldiers had to squeeze together.

During the evening rest, the soldiers brought Rhodes a bowl of wild mushroom soup and some toasted bread, giving Rhodes his first meal since transmigration.

Before eating, Rhodes first illuminated it with Holy Light Spells. If there was any Undead Plague, Holy Light Spells could dispel it immediately.

Arthas and Jaina looked surprised at this scene.

"As the saying goes, caution is the parent of safety, especially in territory where the Cult of the Damned is active. It's not wrong to be careful. Testing it with Holy Light Spells, I'm worried that the surrounding land has been corrupted by the Cult of the Damned's evil magic, and the food we eat might also contain the plague," Rhodes said.

"Rhodes is right, we should indeed be more careful." Arthas nodded, also casting Holy Light Spells on everyone's food. After confirming it was safe, he allowed all the soldiers to eat.

After this small interlude, everyone fell into a deep sleep. Rhodes slept very soundly, but Arthas and Jaina had a sleepless night.

Arthas was worried about Kel'Thuzad's problem. Whether you are a member of the Kirin Tor Six-Man Council or not, if you dare to harm the people of Lordaeron, I will kill you.

For Lordaeron! He absolutely could not disappoint his father, nor Uther.

Jaina occasionally glanced towards Rhodes' tent.

Jaina now desperately wanted to go over and learn spell techniques from this master who controlled both Holy Light and Arcane Magic.

However, for some reason, the other party seemed very distant towards her, which made Jaina doubt her charm for the first time.

Even the thousand-year-old High Elves Prince, as long as she used her cute and coquettish charm, he would impart his magical knowledge without reservation.

It was the same with others in Dalaran, but only this time, she hit a wall.

The night passed uneventfully.

The first thing Rhodes did after waking up early the next morning was to open the system city interface. Due to the effect of the Internal Affairs Hall, his gold units increased by 1000, and other resources remained unchanged.

Rhodes nodded in satisfaction, then spent 2000 units of gold, 5 units of wood, and 5 units of ore to build a Level 1 mage Guild.

"Five random spells, let me see!"
